Aria’s POV Joanna stepped up to the microphone. “Thank you. As I’m sure things have been run with some measure of success around here, I want to confirm that I have no intention of disrupting that process. In fact, I only wish to increase the output of that success.” “I don’t like the sound of that,” Jackson whispered to me from beside me. “I’ve worked for several different teams in the past and bring that experience with me to this position,” Joanna continued. She then proceeded to list her former employers and the accolades she received there, which were admittedly, quite impressive and extensive.

Now this was Shania, the crazy wreck of a lady I somehow fell for. “You think I'm just gonna let you move on from me? I spent my years with you, I sacrificed my time for you, my life for you. You can't just blow me off, I deserve a second…” She went dangerously calm as she took a sudden pause and gulped heavily. “Remember our contracts, Alpha,” she said with scorn. “The buisness agreements we signed upon before I partnered and invested in your company. I could take it all away, I could pull out my investment. I am a shareholder anyway.”

In short, he looked impressive and wore clothes that screamed of money. “Hello,” I nodded at Joanna with zero interest. She blushed a little and I could feel her rising interest in me. Her soft sandalwood scent hit my nostrils and I overcame an urge to sneeze. “Hi!” she said, her voice animated with excitement as she shook her hands with me. Joanna was tall and a leggy blond. Her deep green gown was slit till her thigh on the left side. She had her hair open and with her light emerald eyes looked at me like I was the only man existing in her life.

All eyes were focused on me and I started to feel a bit self-conscious but I ignored the feeling. "Thank you, everyone," I verbalized in appreciation as I climbed the stage, trying to look and sound as if this was just something normal for me. "Okay. I am Giordana Quinton, who happens to be Ella's best friend. In fact, Ella is more than just a best friend to me. She's the sister I never had, one big blessing I'm forever thankful for. Her instructor says she’ll be the ballerina opening the first ever Ice skating tournament their school is hosting which is big and Jeremy is the brain of the school. He doesn’t ever need help with his assignments.” Martha said.
