Aaron saw the conflict in me, and told me to go ahead and make all the jokes I wanted. I couldn’t help the “yo’ momma” jokes that immediately came out of my mouth. Aaron’s situation was incredibly sad and tragic. Even so…the idea of Aaron’s mate leaving him out of fear that he was sleeping with his own mother… how do you not make jokes out of that???? When I couldn’t stop making jokes, Aaron decided to tease me that my mate story was only marginally better, having met my mate while wearing a wedding dress.

"Kaiden and Roman would have such a field day if they ever heard me telling something like that." "Well, good thing I'm not a dad. Hey, do you want to hear a joke about construction? I'm still working on it." I choke on my own saliva in an effort to groan louder than Dad, but I have to admit mom's lame jokes are taking my mind off the stinging pain and desire in my body. "Then there's the one about the clown who visited his cousin in Austra—" Dad opens his mouth to cut her off, but he's interrupted by a loud banging on the front door.

I glowered at the table at large and got goofy smiles all around. Fuck were these women up to? "This bunch is your two sisters, your mother and her friends." "Uh huh, your point?" "I never thought I'd see the day, my son the bad ass is whipped." Ma and her friends whooped it up at my expense and then the male jokes started. Apparently we were all pussy whipped asses being led around by our dicks. I never knew ma even had those types of conversations.

"I thought I saw someone." "We all keep seeing things. Once at the supermarket, I followed my mama but by the exit, I realized she wasn't my mama but a fat lady in a red coat," Dev narrated and chuckled at his own joke. Nobody laughed. So he added quickly and foolishly, "My mama was wearing a red coat." "We get that dipstick." Jack slapped Dev's head who winced. "Sit down Logan. We know you aren't full of shit to see things, but this pinhead might be right yeah."

Love- bye love. I smiled, Mrs A should really stop cooking with supervision. Me- where are you? J oaf- where you don't wanna be. Me- at home? In the toilet? J oaf- idiot. I'm at the mall. Now Joe was also doubting him, expecting him to be dead? “You never know, shit hits the fan sometimes.” Joe was chuckling. Hunter frowned, waiting for Joe to stop laughing at his stupid joke. Joe suddenly stopped laughing. “I was joking brother man.” “If you're done 'joking' I have something I need you to get me.” “What?” “Melatonin.” “What? You do drugs now?” “What?” “That's like cocaine and shit, right?” “Joe, it's a bloody sleeping pill.” “You haven't been sleeping, have you?”

“Sounds like our Patty alright.” “We should call her Patty, the Conqueror,” Joe joked and they both laughed. The laugh lasted until Joe hissed from his aching side. “Is that pain, or is your funny bone broken?” Allen asked and they laughed. Joe hissed again. “Please stop making me laugh,” he told Allen, still laughing though. “Come on in let me get you something to eat, man,” Allen offered. “You guys still got the pie special?” asked Joe. “When you’re getting food free, you take what you get, mister,” Allen replied.

Jose said "What? Is this a joke??"

I'll only ever be a disappointment to him. I still make my jokes though. Thats the time where I can be myself, and make people happy. I want to make people happy. I've never liked it when they're upset. Everytime Theo got upset, I'd tell him a funny story and that usually worked. I wonder if Mommy would have liked my jokes?

This time, there was no way out. He dragged me toward the door, my feet stumbling to keep up, my arm screaming where he gripped it. I was still trying to explain. “Dad, I did not do it. Uncle Ray miscounted. Brady made it up. I did not give anyone a reason to laugh at you.” “Did not do it? Brady saw it with his own eyes, and you are still denying it?” Dad wrenched the front door open. Cold air rushed in. “I will teach you a lesson right now so you never forget what it feels like when people laugh at you.”
