Kane's pov I was in the relaxation spot in my mansion, thinking of ways to make my plans work out when the buzzing sound of my phone diverted my attention from the beautiful flowers I was watching. Kane picked up his phone and it was one of his men calling. “Yes?” “We gave good news, boss,” he answered, sounding so excited over the phone like he won a lottery ticket. “What good news?” I asked him, wondering what it might be that he had to say. The only good news he was expecting was them finding Artemis, not any other thing.

Kane had been gone two whole years, travelling the world or some crap, we all knew it was a mate hunt really, at 21 he was still yet to find her. Kane and Kash were incredibly similar, so similar in fact that they'd often been mistaken for twins by anyone that didn't already know them. Both had fluffy caramel hair like Auntie Cece and dark brown eyes like Uncle Mac along with his fairly muscular form, yet stood a few inches taller at 6ft 7.

“No.” One of his men stepped forward with a tablet. Tapped the screen. A live feed appeared grainy but clear. The brothers’ house. Smoke rising from the garage. Gunfire flashing in the windows. I am not surprised when Kaden walks back into the room, followed by Brent, Alek, and Lance. I smile when I see the surly faces that Brent and Alek are sporting, but I am not sure why Lance is here. I look away as Kane opens one, holding the paper in front of him. “This one is a birth certificate,” he says, looking it over. “It says he has another child.” My mouth opens, but honestly, I’m not shocked. Not with the way he cheated on Bianca. “Who was the mom?” I ask and Kane sighs. “Katrina….” I gasp, that actually shocking me, “What’s the pup’s name?” “It’s Evan Kindle.” Kane says, looking at me. I think back, but I don’t know anyone by the name in our pack, “I’ve never heard of him,” I admit.

CADEN At the dining table, it is quite intense. The room is dull, and the silence is stinging every part of me that I begin to wonder if there is any way I can get out of here. “Kane is out,” and boom, Dad lets out. I know that it's Kyle Sebastian. While staring at him, I can't help but notice how much he'd grown. From a farm boy to an elegant, handsome man.
