Author’s note That sad story about Leila and Hermes is actually one of my work in progress. If you won’t mind reading it when I publish it, can you signify? 😉

“Every night I touch myself thinking about you pinning me down. About you telling me to be quiet while you— A soft creak made me freeze. Footsteps. Someone was coming down the aisle. Heart hammering, I quickly folded the letter and shoved it between the pages of my notebook. My fingers were still trembling when I looked up. It was just Mrs. Willow, the librarian, pushing a cart of books. She gave me a small smile and kept moving. I let out a shaky breath and pressed my thighs together under the desk. God, what was wrong with me? Conrad didn’t even know I existed. He was the golden boy—star quarterback, confident, untouchable. And here I was, writing the kind of things that would ruin me if a

Liora Vale had always loved the quiet. At twenty-one, she worked the night shift at the old city library. Most people thought the job was boring, but Liora loved being alone with the books after midnight. The tall shelves felt like old friends. One rainy night, while sorting the rare books section, she found a strange leather book hidden behind others. It had no title. When she opened it, the pages glowed softly. Words appeared. Choose a story. Bring him to life. One night only.

I told her. "Then what is it? You can tell me anything. I know we have just recently met but you can confide in me. We can talk outside if you don't feel comfortable here." "Let's go to the library," I said. "Start spilling," Amarachi said immediately we got to the library. "Before I start, please promise that you wouldn't judge me." I quickly ran and took my father along with me and stood outside the bedroom and peeped through the side of the door. “Come and sit here with me. Let's have some fresh lemonade together.” Said Caroline sweetly. “Lemonade! That’s my favorite” Zac exclamied. My father was confused but I asked him to stay quiet and notice everything “I'll go and get it for you.” Caroline moved towards the table and looked back towards the door. I hid back all of a sudden. She noticed that nobody was standing and then looked at Zac once and smiled. Then she turned around and took out a small bottle out of her pocket which had a colorless liquid inside it. She poured it in one of the glasses and mixed it quickly.

"Who's the other person?" "Your friend, Lilac." "What about me?" Lilac suddenly asked as she and Scarlet got back. "Oh, hey, Black. It's nice to see you again." "Yeah, hey." I replied as I awkwardly waved my hand." "I'll join you guys later when I'm on my break, so don't wait up." Crimson said before he continued working. "Um, so, what did you wanna talk about?" I asked. "Nothing at all." Scarlet replied as she took a sip of her drink. "We just finished talking about the competition, so we're just hanging out. I figured it'd be better if Crimson wasn't the only guy here."

“Little Lemon!” Mable rushed over and picked Lemon up. Lemon hugged her mother and pressed her cheek against her face, pointing at the butterfly in Jeremiah’s hand. “Mommy... Unc... Butterfwy...” Mable kissed her cheek. “Good girl.” Jeremiah looked at Mable and said, “Lemon kept crying earlier, so I thought she was unwell. It seems she just misses you after not seeing you all day...” Mable sighed in relief. She thought that Lemon was sick and was worried the whole way back.
