The Forbidden Mates

The Forbidden Mates

The creature turned and walked, then stopped and looked at them again. "Let's follow it!" All three then followed the tracks of the strange beast. Meanwhile, in the human world, Karmen was in the neglected courtyard of the Garden, with Ross and Tyler by her side, and the tablets levitating. She repeatedly read the texts inscribed on the tablets, arms wide open and eyes closed. The relics became unstable and a cool breeze blew through the city of Newcastle. The sky rumbled, announcing a heavy rain. The tablets began to crack and eventually shattered completely. Leaving room for the two fragments of the moon that attracted each other like magnets. The Maid Who Stole My Alpha

The Maid Who Stole My Alpha

I did not know what to do with men learning restraint after I had already used their weakness to destroy women better than me. The book in Conri’s arms opened without being touched. Its pages turned until they stopped at a drawing of this altar, five figures standing around it beneath a broken moon. Daciana moved closer, reading the words as the altar began to beat under her feet. “To break the first feather, all named blood must stand before the altar and speak what it was used to hide.” Otsana laughed bitterly. “So Blood Feather wants confessions now.” The altar pulsed. The book wrote another line.

THE MAID OF MADRID

THE MAID OF MADRID

The cold night air hit my face as I ran through the dark streets behind Club Máscara. My breath was short, and my heart was beating fast in my chest. Mateo. The name kept screaming in my head. Señor Mateo. The boy who used to share books with me, the man who had just saved me from Diego hours ago, was the exact same man who had just walked into the private room. He was the one who just saw me completely naked under that red light.

I answered “Stable income?” I nodded. “I work with words, Homer,” he said “Oh, sorry,” I replied “So you left for a more stable income?” he asked “Yes, sir.” I answered. He nodded, picked up the paper again, and flipped through. “Have you ever been a maid?” he questioned “This is my first time.” I nervously responded “So what makes me sure that you will do a good job and not that you’re just here to get money and vanish?” he asked.

The book is well written and very interesting! However, keep in mind there is no happy ending for now. According to the author, there will be a sequel with a happy end, but it is still not in the app, hopefully soon. Personally, I can't wait about it.

’ “Divine—“ but before the young man managed to finish his sentence, the room lit up with sparkling and glittering light, the light was so bright it made Jeremiah’s eyes hurt badly, so he covered it up with his hands and failed to continue to chant his spell. “Amy, is this light a white spell too?” Jeremiah asked his book while still covering his eyes. “It appears so!” “Then what are you waiting for! Take it quick, before it disappears!” Jeremiah ordered with a bossy attitude, it made Armadale hate his grandson a little bit. Since Armadale didn't have eyes, the flashy light didn't affect him, he could locate where the shine came from with ease and absorbed some of the mana from the spell. A

MAY

MAY

"Oh, you noticed. But it isn't something you should worry about, you know. Your dad just needs some time. He'll come around." It was something she was telling herself too. Something she wished would happen soon. "Okay, mommy." Maryam picked up her book. "What are you reading?" asked May, trying to start up a new conversation. She didn't see the book's title because half of the purple cover was peeled off. "Purple Hibiscus," Maryam replied excitedly. "Written by Chimamanda Adichie, my favorite author," she added. "Isn't that too much for you? Do you even understand a word?" May thoughtfully asked.

May represents a large number of women that are constantly abused in their homes but still manage to smile and live through it. I hope women in similar situations reading this book get some of the happiness that May gets.
