BITTERSWEET MEMORIES

BITTERSWEET MEMORIES

I loved meals made a Dom’s restaurant which ran way back since my high school days. We got out of the car and headed towards the dinner and when the door pinged, all eyes were on us seeing us we were dressed in expensive suits and a few people recognized me. We ignored the gossip and whispers and took our normal seats at a booth in the far end corner of the dinner. I liked the table since it was hidden and did not attract a lot of attention and also had a glass window which made it possible to see the busy streets outside. Since we were regular customers, Mrs. Clare the owner already knew us and always gave us a wide smile. She was like a second mom to me and she loved serving us herself tho

Betrayed, Contract Marriage with Mr. Devil

Betrayed, Contract Marriage with Mr. Devil

“Just some small details left.” Giselle nodded. “Yes.” Billy looked at Giselle longer. “I know you’re not the type to talk much about your feelings. But I want you to be sure about your choice.” Giselle looked at Billy. “I know. And I’m very sure about my choice.” Billy smiled. Meanwhile, at home, Gesha sat in the living room with a female servant. In front of her was a drawing book, but she wasn’t really drawing. “Auntie,” Gesha called softly.

TAKE MY BREATH AWAY

TAKE MY BREATH AWAY

“No, you did all this because you wanted to have sex with me. That’s what you were getting out of it. While I was getting my champagne, and my designer wardrobe. That’s what makes me a prostitute. Stupidity isn’t a crime, but what I did was. I blinded myself to what I was doing because I didn’t want to see it that way. I wanted to see the romance, not the reality.” A bitter look crossed her face suddenly. “I never liked Madame Butterfly’s story… Never. Even if it was my dad’s favorite. I said to myself I’d never grown up to be like her. Well, I wasn’t like silly Madame Butterfly, but that’s just what I was… a geisha girl all along. Nothing more than that.” Her voice became flat again. “At le

Loved this short story from E.S. This billionaire romance is told mostly from the ML perspective, I really struggled to see him as anything but the villain and a selfish self-centered jerk most of the book, but well, I’ll let you read it. ES always comes through with beautiful stories.

A well written story full of passion, emotion and the kind of problems that come from adults not communicating with each other. The male lead is flawed, very flawed, but has some decent character development, especially for a short story. The female lead’s emotions made me cry. Well worth reading

The Book of Deceive

The Book of Deceive

This is the tale of Sakura-ko, Flower of the Cherry, who was the beautiful dancer of Gim. She was a geisha, born a samurai’s daughter, which sold herself into bondage after her father died, so that her mother might have food to eat. Ah, the pity of it! The money that bought her was called Namida no Kané, that is “the money of tears.” She dwelt in the narrow street of the geisha, where the red and white lanterns swing and the plum trees flourish by the low eves. The street of the geisha is full of music, for they play the samisen there all day long.

When the Heart Remembers

When the Heart Remembers

I wasn't about to get myself caught in a mess I couldn't climb out of. So while he slept, I slipped out. I didn't hesitate or look back. I would just pretend that nothing had happened. But the second I stepped out, I saw a heavyset, greasy-looking man stumbling out of the next room. When he spotted me, he let out a low whistle. I looked past him into the room. Clothes were scattered everywhere, and Audrey was on the bed, her dress torn, completely out cold. As I recalled how she had murdered me in my past life, I just shut the door quietly and walked away.

Fragrance of Memories

Fragrance of Memories

Antoine watched Camille, his eyes filled with concern and curiosity. Camille’s emotions surged, and tears began to roll down her cheeks, salty and bittersweet. How long had it been since she last remembered the scent of her mother’s lily of the valley? How long had it been since she felt the vibrant essence of fragrance, the subtle bond between scent and memory? 'Muse' didn’t just analyze the scent—it awakened a corner of her mind she thought lost forever. It allowed her to 'see' images again, to 'hear' sounds, and to feel the delicate stirrings of emotions she believed had disappeared for good.

She Remembers Everyone's Order, Except Mine

Third-Person POV It hadn't even crossed Bridget's mind that she could have just bought something else. She was just too lazy to think of it. Sarah had to go back to work, and Bridget was politely asked to leave. It was still pouring outside, even harder than before, and it blurred Bridget's vision. She recalled the photos that she and Aiden had taken together in their graduation gowns that Aiden still used as his phone screen wallpaper. She suddenly remembered about the graduation gowns.

THE CEO ALREADY KNEW

THE CEO ALREADY KNEW

I walk beside her, close enough that our shoulders brush. "I've been thinking about geography," she says. "Geography?" "The places we've lived. Paris. The cottage. The house in Portugal. The new town in the north. Each one a different version of us." "Which version is this?" "The one who stayed." --- Mireille's memoir is published in the spring. The reviews are extraordinary — critics call it brave, necessary, a testament to survival. Celeste reads it in two days, curled on the couch, her reading glasses perched on her nose. She doesn't cry. Just turn the pages slowly, the way you read something sacred.

The Groom She Doesn’t Remember

The Groom She Doesn’t Remember

She looked at me as though I were a stranger as she said, "Mr. Shaw, our marriage is merely an alliance between our families. Considering what has happened, you must know now that we're not right for each other." 'What nonsense! Although our marriage was a marriage of convenience, we still dated for three years.' I snorted inwardly. 'Plus, she had practically clung to me for the past three years. Our mutual friends have even complained that we were too wrapped up with each other! 'Yet, she was now telling me that we aren't right for each other?' "Rachel, are you serious? Your amnesia is only temporary. What if you regain your memories one day, and—"

His Secret Obsession

His Secret Obsession

he snickered before snapping his finger. A guard came in and he gave him instructions in Japanese, he glared at me with a small grin and soon a woman came in. She looked worn out, she was a geisha and her powder had started to run down her neck, but she maintained her composure as she kneeled before the man. Soon she started to unrobe him slowly, as soon as his garments were on their way she stuffed her hand into his garment and brought out his hardened dick, his eyes still on me he lowered her head to the tip of his shaft aggressively, forcing it into her mouth.
