"Thank you for protecting me." Lukas turned to Emma, his eyes softeningas he looked at her. "I would do anything to keep you safe," he said sincerely. "I can't lose you." Emma smiled, touched by his words. "You won't," she said, leaning in to kiss him gently. "We'll face whatever challenges come our way together." As the dust settled, Lukas and Emma were left to process the events that had unfolded. They spent hours talking, sharing their fears, hopes, and dreams. Lukas opened up about his troubled past, revealing the painful memories and regrets that had haunted him for years.

"You finally got a play station, sick!" He joins me in the bed, and we start to play some video games. We are spontaneous like that. We play and play, making small talks whenever we can, and I finish the two bottles of energy drink that he kept on his nightstand. "Do you think it went fine for Larissa and Luther too?" William asks. I haven't even gotten the chance to answer when his phone rings. It's Larissa. "Hey, Luther and I have gotten the Jeep and the supplies. You guys can come meet us at the bridge."

Lucian's POV The moon hung in the night sky, casting its silvery glow on the world below, and I could sense its ethereal strength coursing through me. “It’s time to gather the troops,” I declared, my face filled with determination. I collected my weapons, handling them with skillful ease. I grabbed a box of bullets and quickly loaded my guns, ensuring they were ready for the upcoming battle. I secured knives on my belt and boots, ready to serve as backup weapons if my guns ran out of bullets.

I take a couple of steps toward him and then stop as I say, “And you are?” “I am Lucas, and you just killed my father.” “How old are you, son?” “16, Alpha.” “Have you done any training?” “I train alongside all of these warriors, Alpha.” “I meant Alpha training. The training that you would need to take over from your father?”

“Here. This is the card for the evening. Just come. They haven't seen you in years.” Lukas stared at his friend. Cruis travelled all over Olympus, Earth, and the Underworld, delivering messages, helping the Sun God with the problems. Also, he had a reputation for being a good gossip. Because of his friend's stories, Lukas didn't feel like he missed out on much from Olympus and could instead learn all he needed to know from his friend. But his friend insisted on making him make an exception for the Party for Spring.

I said, I figured I might as well be honest with my intentions and they had the right to know what they were getting themselves into and why. “Then you can just forget about us helping you, Lukas loves that girl and he has already killed one of us and tortured some because of her. He doesn’t need an army to fulfill whatever goal he has in mind. What kind of alpha are you going to be if you need our help to perform your duties?” they asked

They were genuinely interested in getting to know me, making me feel valued and appreciated. Lukas walked over to the play station and picked up a controller. "How about a game?" he suggested, a mischievous sparkle in his eyes. I nodded eagerly, excited at the prospect of spending more time with him in this delightful setting. We all played games, laughed, and shared stories, forgetting about the outside world and the drama that had ensued earlier.

I have no weapon, and Lukas is gone. Will I be able to survive?

I stood up and walked toward the door and he followed me closely. We got to the forest, the forest was too quiet. Jessica noticed it immediately. No birds, no wind,no sound except the faint crunch of her boots against dry leaves and the sound of heavy footsteps that belonged to Lukas. “ Lukas is scared, why do you bring this place?” I asked because I was so scared. It was as if someone was watching us. “ You said you want to see my wolf. I can shift in the school. Remember that the school is a mixture of all the creatures.” he explained.

The toaster still held the bread I’d forgotten. I pushed the lever up. Too late. The toast had turned black. I stared at it for a moment, exhaled through my nose, and dropped it into the bin. Lucas had already vanished into his room to change. Drawers opened and slammed while he talked to himself in a running monologue. “…and then the beetles came, like thousands of them, but Explorer Lucas wasn’t scared,” he announced loudly. “He had the special spray gun and—no, wait—this one’s the captain—”
