Lumapit siya sakin at hinalikan ako sa noo at niyakap. "Alam mo ba kung ano ang na-realize ko sa araw na ito?" tnong ko. "What is it?" "Just like what someone says, I realized that 'Life is like a book. Some chapters sad, some happy, and some exciting. But if you never turn the page, you will never know what the next chapter holds.' You're the next chapter of my life. And I want you stay till the end of my story... Of our story." "I want you to be my beginning and end Alexandra. We'll complete the book where our love will last forever."

Mom and Dad were busy with my twin brother who got into an accident. I was alone. I had to fight my battles alone. I was almost dumped by our hospital because of my case but I pleaded and asked for another chance. I was pleading Celine. I pleaded with her not to leave me but she dumped me away many times. I almost died because of the hurdles that I've been through with my journey. But I remained resilient and stands up fast whenever I stumble because that's life. We must fight back because if we don't, we will lose.

"Hindi lang naman sa'kin pero sa'yo din." "Hmm? What do you mean?" "Gusto ko rin na maranasan mong palabasin ang inner child mo. Gusto ko rin na mag enjoy ka roon. Tayong dalawa." I smiled while gently patting her head. "As you wish." And while the lights of New York rapidly passed outside the car window, I suddenly realized that this might truly be the beginning of my life. Not the life built by power. Not the life controlled by expectations. A life where I finally learned how to love without fear.

It is that once that I felt truly alone in this huge world - a new adult trying to figure out a real life for herself; a life that she would want to actually live, and not just one mode of survival that met up to the expectations and choices of everyone except herself. I shake my head. "Must we talk about all that now, mom? Haven't I actually gotten somewhere in life, following the very path that I had originally chosen for myself? Let's get this straight, as usual - I love doing what I do. And there are yet more things that I truly aspire to do." The last sentence, however, dies dry in my throat. So cruel to imagine. Hindi ko na napigilang umiyak ng sobra nang maramdaman kong tinutukan niya ulit ako ng baril sa sentido. This isn’t the life or death that I imagined. Hindi dapat dito magtatapos ang kabanata ko. I still have to do a lot of things, I still have to explore the sides of life, I still need to recover to the pain I’ve felt, I still need to redeem the pieces of me being scattered. I worked hard to get where I am today, so I should live.

And that's when I realize its not imagination anymore, I am living in my reality and everything was real. 5 years ago, my life is a battle of escaping different people and scenarios, escaping reality and making my self believe that everything is still normal. And now I am living my life free as a bird. Soaring and flying higher than anyone else. I am living in acceptance that it is me, this is me now, and I couldn't change it, no one could ever change that fact and 5 years ago experiences has something to do with it. I could still remember how we parted our ways. Bid our goodbyes, and accept the new challenge of being separated.

I think I need to do something about this. Kung ang buhay ng mga main character sa w*****d ay easy lang lampasan Yung akin ay hindi and kung magulo buhay ni mas magulo akin....I'm a nurse na naging instant Yaya and now naman parang magiging imbestigador na naman ako o detective...My god what's happening to my life....Hahays ________

Napailing na lang ako. My life just became a cliché W*****d story. And I’m pretty sure the ending is going to be a disaster.

Ani ko at nauna ng naglakad papaalis kaya sumunod na lamang ito. At hindi ko na rin tiningnan muli ang dalawang mapangutyang nurse na iyon. As long as they're sorry then palalampasin ko na. Sana lang talaga huwag ng maulit iyon sa ibang tao pa man. Sa mga taong walang alam sa pagkakakilanlan ko ay talagang maiisip na isang ordinaryong mamamayan lang ako dahil na rin iyon na ang buhay na pinili ko magmula ng lumisan ako sa puder ni papa. I left all the luxurious life and chose to live simply and peacefully.

At natawa na lang kaming dalawa habang nakapila sa magkabilang side para sa sasakyan naming jeep. Maybe the journey isn't so much about becoming anything. Maybe it's about un-becoming everything that isn't really you, so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place. •• TBC.
