Mystery Reading Novels & Stories

Her curiosity about the writer behind such a captivating book was driving her crazy, but no matter how hard she scoured, she still found next to nothing. Determined, she bit the bullet and decided to read the author's other two mystery novels, even though she didn't expect much. They were written over a decade ago, after all, and were probably outdated. To her surprise, she got hooked again! She was furious and amazed at the same time! Over the course of a week, she devoured all of Mindy's novels. Apart from that one cheesy youth romance novel that was awful, every other mystery thriller was more gripping than the last.

A murder mystery seemed like a good read, so I took a seat and started reading. I had gotten caught up in reading, not sure how much time had passed. The smell of the stew pulled me from my reading. I was over halfway done with the book. I marked my page and set it down. I wasn’t sure if I would continue to read it, but if I had time, I wanted to make sure that I marked my place.

I take one last look at myself until I strike a pose and say,"Perfect," I hear mom from downstairs telling me to hurry up, so I grab my book bag and put on my glasses and was about to leave my room until I remember my most important thing. I go to my book-shelf and pull out a book that reads, Gone Girl by Giliian Flynn on the front cover. I've always loved mysteries; I can't remember one day where I wasn't watching Criminal Minds or Goosebumps in my room.

June places beside her her earlier and took a sip before turning to the next page of the book she was reading. The book was a psychological thriller and it had hints of mystery in it. Whilst she read, her lips were pressed into a thin line as she had reached a cliffhanger. Hailey normally detested cliffhanger especially when the book was still ongoing however the book in her hand was quite an interesting one so she was willing to read carefully and wait for the next chapter. She put a bookmark in the book and stood io from the rocking chair she was relaxing on, slipping her feet into the pair of lounge slippers she brought and walked out of the lounge. She needed to use the restroom.

In the den she found a recent paperback bestselling mystery novel. Marveling that Riley could ever find time to sit and read, she settled into his chair and opened it. Every couple of hours she returned to Riley’s bedside and woke him. “Who am I?” she asked.

Amanda was still at home, in their room, she was expecting Sonia, when she heard the the harsh entrance, she knew it couldn't be Sonia. she looked at the door, unaware of what to do, she was afraid she had left the door open, and recently there had been rumour of robbery incidents in the neighborhood, as she felt the footstep coming close to their room, she was about to stand up from her sitting position when her room door flung open.

Author’s POV: Next day all was going good, classes were going on inspector Isaac and John and others were working in their police station. All of a sudden, the electric lights began trembling. The occurrence kept happening for ten to fifteen seconds and then it was ok. Some people got frightened and all got curious. “This happened after eleven years, the same as before”, Isaac told in presence of John and another officer. They looked at each other. Students of a class started whispering. Seeing that the lecturer ordered to stop and again began to give his lecture. Lusie looked her left-right and it was ok few persons there steered each other.

He wipes his face with a spare hanky. Why can’t he find it? He pulled out his phone from his pocket. He searches about it then. There had to be something. But what’s he gonna search. Mystery girl? Demon? There must be an ancient name for her. Or there isn’t. He was exhausted already. He ruffled his head, if he didn’t get anything, Dixon would end up killing him. He strolled down his phone. Ancient mystery girl. History search. He hunkered down. Since he was tired of standing.

She didn't have any close friends either and slowly as time passed she became a 27 years old who stayed at home most of the time playing on the computer or reading in her library at home. Like any other day, Su Lan was lying in bed watching her favorite drama until she received a phone call. She picked up her phone and answered only to get hollered at by her mother once again with a bunch of questions like: "when are you going to get a job", "why don't you head out", and etc. After an hour of the same routine everyday she finally managed to get off the phone call. She seemed keen on the idea that a little walk would help Lauren feel better, but Lauren didn’t think her mom would agree to a long hike. Up until a couple of years ago (when she discovered Ray Bradbury and Stephen King), Lauren had loved reading the Trixie Belden mysteries and at the moment she felt a lot like Trixie, off investigating a crime. Don’t have my beautiful best friend Honey with me, though.
