Life and Death Holder

Life and Death Holder

Well, that was the work of my lovable mom, because according to her, the word Kagura is a Japanese word which means entertaining the Gods. Doesn’t my name sound very holy? But even if it sounds feminine, I really love it – I like my second name because it makes me feel like I have Japanese blood, and I like to watch and read isekai anime or manga about protagonists who are reincarnated in another world and become super strong.

Love all of this series. I can’t put the books down. I want more of Kaia’s story and Kon’s too. Definitely a great read. If I could put 10 stars I would. I’m really picky about ebooks and what I read but this whole series has kept me interested and captivated since I read the first few paragraphs.

Love Ain't Always Pretty

CHAPTER 40 Furyo (不慮) Furyo (不慮) Translation: Accidental Origin: Japanese 40 I got myself busy and studied my lessons during the rest days of the week. I tried to avoid seeing him, I would eat dinner earlier than Tracy. I would do it on purpose or I would go out alone just to avoid seeing Nick. I keep on reminding myself that it's for the best. I know it's for the best. It might actually help me just a little bit to get over this feeling I have for him and I wish it would at least help.

Aria smiled and asked, “What does that mean?” Alice said, “It means hello in Japanese.” Aria chuckled excitedly, having suddenly discovered a new word, especially one from a new language. “Konnichiwa,” she tried. “Did I say it right?” Yuki nodded. “Yes, you did.” She came to kneel in front of Aria and said, “Kawaii. You are so adorable.” “What does kawaii mean?” Aria asked again, enthusiastically wanting to know.

Do You Love Me, Uncle?

Kyoko suddenly asked, eyeing Akiko’s face. “No! I don’t like him! Why do you keep asking? I already told you, I’m not interested in any man right now.” Akiko snapped, became irritated, and then returned to their table. She slumped into her chair and drunk her coffee in one gulp. “Yeah, you’re not mad. You don’t look irritable at all,” Kyoko muttered sarcastically, shaking her head at Akiko’s obviously frustrated behavior. --- *Otaku: A Japanese term for people with obsessive interests, particularly in anime and manga.

Chasing Betsy (English)

“It means ‘My God.’” Everyone is startled. With their shock expressions, they’re probably thinking if he is serious or not. I feel like I’m about to pee anytime soon. “Takeyake. . . It means take care,” Jack goes on, looking like he has all the time in the world. Pam is now openly gawking at him. “And another Japanese word I’ve learned is Asahi which means ask him.” Jack Wills turn to look at Benny who gapes at him. “And do you know the Japanese translation of asking a girl out, Benny?”
