You feed her, give her a roof over her head and some protection and she cleans, cooks, whatever you need done,” K-9 said. “She’s club property but not a sweet butt, if you get my drift,” Bandit said.

I have something for you to give your friend in the palace." The little thing ignored me completely, totally focused on eating. "There would be snacks," I tempted. It shot me a look that somehow managed to look disdainful and gathered the many little nuts that lay on the ground. "More snacks, I mean." The mouse immediately dropped what it was eating and chittered at me excitedly, even going as far as running ahead. I laughed. Apparently even innocent creatures were not averse to bribery.

Darrion looked worried. Then, another joined in. It was the other pet, a Mousling. This pet is a bigger version of mouse, but its body was rounder and it had a long and bushy ringtail. This Mousling’s tail, however, was wrapped in bandage, also with its left foot.

He looks at me accusingly and I start to retort but a slight movement in a cluster of bushes within the circle catches my eye and I head towards it.
