As we neared the grove, his footsteps quickened, like he was impatient. The dim lighting elongated my shadow. A hot breeze swept across the alley. I stopped. Despite the breeze, I still felt a chill coming from behind me. There were shadows flitting around in the grove. I couldn't see what it was, but all the same, I walked into the clump of trees. Overgrown weeds prickled my ankles, leaving me with burning pain, but I kept my expression nonchalant. I just kept walking further into the grove. Rustling sounded behind me.

The whole area lit up following the sound of the birds and the strong wind around. "We're dead." Hygge said while covering his eyes. No we're not. We are close Fika, wait for us. We quickly hid behind a rock when we heard unusual noises. "Morosis." Said Hygge as he stared with amazement at the morosis coming out of the bright portal. "The stupidest of stupidiest." I said while smirking.

Grace began softly, her voice carrying a strange weight: “In a vast forest ruled only by wolves, there came a lone hare. The wolves had already hunted every other creature, dominating the land with teeth and claws. But this hare fragile, juicy, foolish enough to step into their territory, surely had only one fate. The wolves lunged. The hare darted, not away, but straight between them. Snarls and howls filled the meadow as the wolves collided, snapping at each other in confusion. The hare vanished into the tall grass.

I whispered compassionately, “I’m so sorry I even brought it up. You do not have to tell me about the rest of it.” She shook her head stubbornly, “No. I want to,” she stated firmly and took a deep breath. “Lorak couldn’t pinpoint exactly where his voice was coming from through the chaos that night, so he went about every hut, dragging the stones away from the entrances. He saved people’s lives that night. A lot of people didn’t burn because Lorak was trying to find his mate, but his mate burned. It was the last hut Lorak searched and by the time he got there…” she sniffled, “that’s the story.”

“Are they really going to just let me fall back?” That's actually... cause me a sigh of relief. I'm tired by the eyes that following my every steps! It was a patchy, long-legged spring hare that didn’t seem to have noticed him just yet, and with luck, it wouldn’t ever. She reached for an arrow as it sat placidly munching on a tuft of new grass. The second her fingertip touched his quiver the hare bolted for its burrow. Scar cursed, took a half step toward where it had been, and then stopped. There was no point, and the animal was well shot of him by now.

Hector, being sore, is a little slower. Hector watches the woods for signs of a rabbit. As soon as he spots one, he has to catch it. He knows there is punishment for failing. Hector watches the ground by the roots of the trees and scans it for five minutes. He notices a small white rabbit eating a leaf, not a care in the world. It is too fast for Hector to catch it. He chases it and stumbles, but regains his balance in the end. Rex’s timer goes off.

I expected him to dig into his pack—but instead, he closed his eyes and raised his hands. And then—magic rippled. Not light, not noise—just pressure, like the air holding its breath. The first travois began to grow. I blinked, not understanding what I was seeing. The ground split and lifted, wood and vine and stone twisting into shape like something alive. Strong. Balanced. Purposeful. What the hell? Loria turned to me, pressed a kiss to my lips—firm and quick, but the kind that still made everything else disappear. “Go get the strongest wolves you can find. My forecasts came true. As I sprint, my gaze searches ahead, and suddenly I see it. A white-furred hare hops between stones, dashes beneath logs, and kicks back on its hind legs. I exert more effort to close the gap, its aroma a tribute to my triumph.
