Olivia said. When Olivia entered Jill’s room, she was ready with the book of shadows. This was a secret book that the three girls kept for writing down spells as they came across them. Most of the spell in the book had been copied from William’s spell book and of course, he was unaware of this. “This spell is quite vague and not tested,” Jill said. “Remember we didn’t find any log-entry for this spell. Records say that no one has used this spell before so there’s no way we can tell it works.”

They come up with new spells now and then and we have to learn them well. We use the best among us to investigate and we share as oracles in all the packs and clans because we have the same goal: protect our saviours and homes," he says and I respect him more the more I learn about him. I go through the book quickly and it also has a lot of spells but they don't seem ancient as the bigger volume. The Caspers Grimoire is calling to me and I feel like I have grown an affinity to it and I want to start with it.

Laila’s POV “If it's forbidden, why is it in your book?” I asked and earned a glare from her. “There are no spells like that in this book.” I looked down at the book and the page was still blank. “It was right here,” I said quietly. “I swear it was here. I didn’t imagine it.” “You’re telling me,” the seer said slowly, leaning forward, “that the spell appeared and vanished before your eyes?” “Yes.” I flipped the pages, growing frustrated. “It had three words. It looked easy to say. Every other page in the book is filled with spells but this one is blank. That should be enough proof I'm not lying.”

She was being flagged down by at least three different groups. I finished my meals and ale after about and hour of musing in the main room. I passed the time by bringing out the black leather-bound book out of my pack. It was my personal gift to myself. My own spell book. It only had two cantrips inside of it right now but I was excited about the space I would be filling up. There was plenty of room to add as many spells as I wanted. I could easily add in a hundred spells before I was tapped for space.

Elena said, looking up to see the winter fairy spirit in front of her. “Is that what you think? Do you know what you're about to do? That book you possess is called the book of shadows which contains spells and magic that could lead to ultimate chaos and destruction! You must be very careful Elena when you use such spells.” The winter fairy said gazing at her. “How come I am able to read and understand these words. I know I haven't seen this kind of writing.” Elena said, handing the book to the winter fairy spirit.

“Please, don’t do this. It’s not worth it. Don’t pay the price.” Tears instantly blur my vision, blurring the terrible words on the page. I can barely speak. Isla screams in my mind, a chaotic, loud roar. "Don’t listen to the projections! Focus! Finish the spell!" I choke back a raw sob and force the final, burning words out, my voice shaking with grief and effort. The last line of the spell burns my tongue, bitter as the taste of blood. "...by shadow’s grace and light’s disdain, Return what’s lost, undo the chain.”

“I probably need more time than a day to memorize this before I can study another spell.” “Well, just in case you can master the spell in a short time, Joseph rose from his chair, took the book from the shelf and next gave it to Jeremiah.” It was a thick book that consisted of a hundred or more pages. “What is this book, Archbishop?” Jeremiah asked curiously while receiving the book. “It's the purification spell level-3.” the old man informed. “What, don't tell me I must memorize all the words inside the book precisely?” “Exactly,” Joseph replied with a warm smile.

Even in her absence, she could still make things be about her! Stepping away from where I stood, I paced around the room and then returned to my original spot. For a moment, I wondered if there was another reason I had to stand there or if the seer needed to see me. I could have easily stayed across the room and heard her clearly. "The book in front of you is the Book of Spells," she interrupted my thoughts. "The page it is opened to represents a promise. Whatever you promise will be written in the book, and unless you fulfil it, you shall find no rest."

My hands trembled slightly as I opened it, flipping to the page I had practised last night. “Okay, let's try this again, deep breath… calm down, Alia, you can do this” I took in deep breaths as I motivated myself. I swallowed and whispered them aloud. “Ignis parvus, luce me audire.” My breath caught as I lifted my gaze to the candle on the table. For a moment, nothing happened. I hissed and closed the spell book. Then suddenly the flame flickered. My eyes widened in awe."It glowed…it worked.”
