He would never buzz the doorbell! “Hand her over! This is the last time I’ll ask nicely!” came Alpha Ambrose’s raspy voice. I watched the Flame Hounds close in slowly. Deep red and orange flames churned in their wake as if their skin was made of molten lava. It was strange that they hadn’t burned us down already, as if they were waiting for something or someone! Until now, they had just been taunting us, teasing us, tormenting us! But why would they do it if they wanted to kill us?

The sword light flashes, and the Crimson Cloud Sword once again sweeps through this disgusting tongue, cutting it apart. "A critical hit! -610!" Another blow to its weak point. The Blood Infant suffers another setback, both pained and furious. "I will eat you! Devour you!" The Blood Infant's voice becomes mournful, like the cry of an owl, suppressing the soul. With the Blood Infant's desperate cries, its mouth, already large, splits open further, from the cheek area extending all the way to behind its ear. Originally with a large head, its mouth, after this new split, opens like a whale devouring the sea, appearing particularly eerie.

I replied. “What about me? Don’t I deserve some more fucking gold after everything I have done?” he questioned leaning forward with eyes glued on my face. I scoffed loudly, “So you can be richer than me and win the members of Firedon to your side. Never!” Paul reclined on the chair with legs crossed, “I sincerely don’t think it is a bad idea! Alpha Paul, hail the great Alpha!” I burst out laughing heartily, “So for a long time now you have been coveting my throne, where are those foolish guards?” I cut in with a stern tone.

I am pissed because those words are from a character I had completely erased from the book. A ruthless commander of the king’s army who sexually tortures Ravenhood even worse than the prince himself. I had believed him to be too cruel for what I wanted for this book. His character wouldn’t care if all of his men died by my hand as long as he captured me. Actually, he wanted a fight; blood and torture excited him. Instantly, I drop the knife and go down on my knees, bowing my head.

There was no place for unforgiveness. “Do you think the political mayhem triggered the economic breakdown that resulted in the war?” Napoleon asked. “You better ask Isaac about it. Your brother knew everything even before I told you.” “So, Isaac told you about this? And he never even confided in me.” “Isaac shared his knowledge in chaos theory twice.” “A physics concept paired with world war 3?” “He predicted the New World Order in less than six months, and now it is happening." "My brother thinks about the New World Order. What is Harvard teaching my younger brother? Are they nuts?"

Callighan stopped laughing and the two stared at each other. “What you going to do about it?” Mr. Callighan asked Dominic with an raised eyebrow. “Just like you have your pack, I have mines.” Not a second more, Mr. Callighan snapped his fingers and we heard rustling all around us. As much as I wanted to stay alert, the blood I was losing was not letting me. I dropped to my knees, bent over with my chest touching the bloody water. I was getting sick all over again and my vision was blurred. I was able to still hear the pitter-patters of Mr. Callighan’s pack as they came towards us. They surrounded everybody, including Ember and dad.

I said, voice cold and clear, “and I have killed every man who dared to speak my name with venom in his mouth.” No one spoke. They dared not. They could see it. I was different. I didn't follow rules anymore. “I have buried the Vipers. Burned the Alessandros end their allies. Taken Pablo’s head from his shoulders. If any man here still believes I’m not worthy to rule, then stand. Speak.” Silence. Even the wind dared not move. I nodded once. “Then from this day forward, I claim the title none of you could hold. I am the Overlord. The chain ends here. The war ends here. There will be peace, my peace. And any man who threatens it will be erased. Family or not.”

The Overlord's smile showed perfect, sharp teeth. "I prefer to think of it as... restoring the natural order. Predator and prey." "Enough talk," Classy said, crouching and touching the ground. The concrete surged up, forming a barrier between them and the Overlord. "You want a fight? Let's fight." Windwalker clapped from his perch. Bravo! Straight to the action!
