I could almost see the thoughts running through his head, weighing risks, outcomes, possibilities.
After a moment, he nodded. “It’s doable.”
“That’s good.”
“But…” he added, his tone shifting just a little, “that brings up another problem.”
I already knew what he was going to say.
“Who do we trust enough to go that far?” he asked. “Kagemoto Kazama isn’t careless. Wherever he’s operating from, security won’t be weak.”
I leaned back again, exhaling slowly. “It won’t be.”
