Unfamiliar. “Elara,” he said again, but this time… it was different. His body jerked once. Then again. His claws shot out, shredding the pillow beside her. His fangs extended, slicing into his bottom lip. A low, guttural sound ripped from his chest—one that didn’t sound human at all. “What’s—what’s wrong?” she gasped, panicked. “I don’t—” His voice broke off, disoriented. Dazed. And then his head snapped back as a roar tore from him, so loud it shook the walls.

None of it mattered, he looked at his opponent on the ground and wanted to give him a few kicks for good measure, but not right now. "The council recognizes Lucas Gable as the new alpha of this pack." A small group cheered. Lucas scanned the crowd, most people looked upset, but he wouldn't let their disappointment take this moment away from him. He was winner. Marilyn rushed forward and threw herself down on James. She was sobbing, trying to rouse him. Lucas felt arms slam into him. He turned his attention to Roxy who was kissing and hugging him. He put his arm around her like the trophy she was.

Their eyes locked, holding a steady gaze for seconds. “Do not cry, Puppy,” the man used his thumb to wipe away the tears trickling down Elena’s cheeks. “Save your tears for later,” he chuckled. “Please, I beg you,” Elena continued her plea, but her appeals seemed to fall on deaf ears. “Calm down Puppy, I have a surprise for you” The man smirked and cupped Elena’s cheeks.

Elias raised his arm covered in steel to support it. Unexpectedly, one jumped behind Lily, it opened its mouth full of long, pointed fangs, drooling at Lily. She screamed in despair, reaching out her right hand towards the beast. Suddenly, a beam of light from the red crescent-shaped birthmark in the center of Lily's right palm hit the beast. Both animals were immediately drawn to the roadside stand of two stone statues. Neither Lily nor Elias understood what was happening. Lily's body seemed to exude that power, so she lost her strength and fainted. Elias whirled around, taking her in his big palm.

Alpha guardians relaxed their muscles across the sands while swimming through the waves. Young pups scrambled blindly through the loose terrain, their throats unleashing sudden, pathetic wails whenever the incoming tide violently eroded their freshly constructed dirt dens. Tracking those young pups systematically wiping away their wet tears to immediately launch another excavation phase, your fangs couldn't prevent a rare smile from cutting through your mask.

Of course, he would after all; he took care of Pup all alone. Irish took Pup's little arms in her hand and gently made the pup touch the newborn baby. "Baby? " Pup asked, his voice held amusement. " Yes, sweetheart, a baby. He is a younger little cousin. " Irish said with sweet voice knowing full well that Pup did not understand half of her sentence. Aaron placed the newborn in the crib and tried to take Pup from his wife's arms. The pup was dressed in a woollen onesie which was warm enough to keep the cold weather.

Mila whispered, "Harper, you need rest. Go and lay down on that sofa. I will be there when you wake." Harper followed the advice and closed her eyes on the sofa. Two distinct tear streaks remained on her face. In a faint voice, she said, "I am sorry." Soon, her words dissipated into the air. _____ Wyatt tore his own shirt to shreds, revealing his hardened muscles and rugged scars. His eyes turned red, his teeth became sharp fangs and his nails turned into claws. His bones and muscles twisted and stretched, and his fur spread all over him. He let out a deafening roar, then dashed off into the forest at an astonishing speed.

"Get away from us! I'll never let you take him!" When Lucas' gaze fell on the wound on my forehead, a flicker of softness seemed to appear in his eyes. But Emily wept bitterly, looking concerned yet trying to be understanding. "Luna, if a pup does something wrong, he needs to be corrected. Otherwise, it will ruin him! The Alpha is only doing what's best for Leon!" Hearing that, Lucas cast aside all hesitation. He unleashed the Alpha force, and I couldn't move an inch. I could only watch helplessly as the burly warriors roughly dragged Leon into the wagon.

I then continue with my normal routine. I have a couple more females coming of age. I have also just had two males born. One is staying to become part of the fighters or patrol guards the other is being sold, I have the Alpha and Luna from the Dark Crystal pack coming to look at him shortly and the Alpha has already told me that while his mate spends some quality time with the male pup, he will pay the fee to induct one of my females into the program if I have one ready.
