Secret Life Of Walter Mitty Book Pdf นิยาย & เรื่องราว

The Silence in my room pressed against me, too loud. I shoved the journal under my pillow, hidden but close, like keeping the words there made them less dangerous. Safe. Secret. At least for now.

Now, I felt like a puppet with cut strings, about to fall into a pit I couldn't see. A part of me wanted to tear the note into confetti, to bury it in the sand and pretend the world outside our villa didn't exist. To lose myself in the warmth of our bed and the comforting weight of Eavon's arm around me. But another part, a cold, hard voice in my head, recognized this as a chance. My chance to finally understand the truth behind the lies, to stop being a passive piece in someone else's dangerous game.

“I got a plan. This will work out in our favor,” I expected him to spill the plans the same way I did with mine, but he refused. With a hint of doubt, I went with Paul to the company. We were about to sneak to the route that leads to Mr. Woods's office before the secretary caught us. She forced us into a halt. The only thing we wished was for the ground to swallow us. I was scared that she was going to call security to throw us out. After seeing how brave Paul was, I eradicated every atom of fear embedded inside of me and gestured to the secretary.

If he found it almost completely blank, he'd definitely get suspicious. I blocked the workbook with my hand and said, "No need, Uncle. I'm almost done. You just got home from overtime. You must be exhausted. Go get some rest." Then I turned to my aunt. "I've got a handle on it now. Thanks, Aunt Maggie. You should head to bed too." She nodded. "All right. You keep at it. I'm going to bed." Only after they both left did I finally exhale. I lay on my bed, my mind replaying the memory of my aunt over and over.

“I am a fast reader. Probably five minutes or less. Granting me permission spares you a trip to see me, but you will likely be very tired afterward.” I nodded. I was nothing if not practical, and I had nothing to hide. Uncle Roger encouraged me to lean my head back against the head rest, and then took one of my hands in his. Soon, I felt a strange tugging sensation in my mind. “If you still want to move forward, let me in,” he said. “Envision opening a locked door.” I did as he said. Exactly five minutes later, it was over. The expression on Uncle Roger’s face was grim.

In that instant, it felt as if all the blood drained from my body. Why? Why would she do this? She was my mother. Why would she treat me like this? I stumbled backward, barely able to keep my balance. My back bumped into the desk behind me, and a box slid off the bookshelf and crashed to the floor. The lid popped open. Inside were old photos from my childhood. I bent down and picked one up. They were pictures of me as a kid. But underneath them, I noticed something else. My mother's diary. I opened it.

That was no small thing, and they were not about to slack off. I nodded hard. "Every word of it." Shirley was freaking out. She tried to shut me up, but a cop blocked her way. I gave her a sideways glance, her face all twisted up, and marched with the cops to Shirley's office. That was where her secret book was hiding. Well, someone was selling off scrap steel from the factory, but it was not me. It was her precious little brother, Walter Scott. Walter was always the smart one, taking the shady paths, until he got tangled in businesses that headed abroad.

Sally had drawn my attention to it. "Fine, we could read that..." "No, we don't have time, forget about those romances, let's learn first, that we don't have time." I sighed but she was right, I pulled the book, grabbing it to read, and a piece of paper fell off it. I picked it up and put it back into it, I didn't want to go through it, I just felt it was private and he would be mad if I went through it. I sat for hours, going through the book, through the day, the book was all I could go through, I was surprised, it had a note at every end of the chapter, about how to shift into your wolf easily.

It seemed like a lifetime ago when my wolf snarled those words in my mind. How time flies. Anyway... Elliot still kept the glass around as if clinging to a piece of his old self. Shaking my head, I reached for the book. I didn't mean to open it... really, I didn't. But curiosity got the better of me. The first few pages were harmless. Notes, a few scribbled reminders, and random sketches. I had no idea Elliot was a secret artist. Then I turned another page, and my breathing stopped. It was a drawing.

He re-emerged with an old worn leather book, Alissa could see slips of paper sticking out of it. He placed it on the table and opened it. “This, is our biggest secret, you must never tell a soul unless they come to you in this trouble.” He pushed the book towards her pointing to a yellowed piece of paper that had been stuck to the page. Alissa read the fading ink
