Tyee I let Dakota take over the shift, and he immediately stretched his stretched his paws. “It’s about time you let me shift.” Dakota smirked. I couldn’t help but roll my eyes. “Alright old man, let’s get going, eh?” Dakota snickered as he got down on his belly for Jennie to climb on. Jennie carefully ran her fingers down our back. “I almost forgot how big you are” She whispered. Dakota nodded his head at Jennie for her to climb on. Olivia would faint more than once if she could see this right now. I slowly walk between shelves, running my hands across the dark brown, sturdy wood that holds the books, feeling its smooth lamination. Every corner is perfectly labeled, so whoever is in here can easily find what they need. Whoever maintains a place like this definitely knows what they're doing. I stop, curious, at an aisle and reach for a first edition book on "The Technicalities of Wolf Shifting." I have no interest in it, but the vibe in the room prompts me to pick it up.

And eventually, I grew tired of searching and started organising some out of place books. At least that was one of the things I do best. I moved through the aisles, swiftly and efficiently. Putting the books back in order. A brown bulky book caught my eye. Placed horizontally amongst vertical books. Above my reach. I stepped on my toes. Arms stretching to grab the book. I groaned, trying even harder until my hands brushed against the book. The heavy book slipped. I gasped. Shielding my head from the fall but fortunately, it fell to my side.

After the purge and tea, I read my lifesaver and took off to the library around few minutes past one. I walked cautiously, trying my best to make as little noise as possible. Finally, I got to the library. It was the shelf two shelves after the door on the farther right side of the library. I traced the shelf, tracing my height to where the book I pushed in was. When I finally found the book, I pushed it in, watching the shelf turn. I was still where I stood. Then I realized that the floor space an inch away from the shelf was also part of the shelf, so it always turns with it.

I tried not to gawk as I watched shimmering blue and grey threads of magic reach out in all directions towards the shelves of books that lined the room. Book after book removed itself from the shelves, drifting into neat stacks on the nearest table. My amazement was quickly replaced with abject horror when the total book count reached twenty-three. "There's no way I'm going to be able to read this many books." I laughed, but grabbed a large armful of them anyway. I figured it'd be smart to move in clusters.
