Their laughter grew louder and louder, echoing relentlessly.
I covered my ears and began to cry. Both my shoulders shook uncontrollably from fear. My hands trembled just the same. I shook my head weakly and curled into the corner of the room, trying to disappear. I sobbed, keeping my hands tightly pressed over both ears.
The voices inside my mind didn’t stop. They only grew stronger, louder. I could hear them clearly—their cruel laughter, as if they were mocking me. Over and over, their jeers repeated inside my head.
