As she did so, the siren's face appeared snarling and baring sharp black teeth within blue lips and a bluish white face with glass eyes. A scream escaped Amelia, causing her to suck in a mouthful of water that invaded her lungs, which were begging for air. She needed to get free, and she needed to do it soon before she blacked out. Despite her struggles, she remained caught by the siren, who was now beginning to bite her arm, drawing blood that bubbled towards the surface.

The gated driveway winds like a private road up the hill, the kind meant for people with more money than conscience. My car’s engine cuts through the quiet night, echoing off the marble columns as I roll to a stop beneath the oversized porte-cochère. I kill the engine. Silence drops heavy. I pull the black fabric mask up over my face so it’s snug across my nose, hiding everything except my eyes. It smells faintly of gun oil and leather, familiar enough to steady the blood pounding in my ears.

One of those sirens speaks words I've never heard before and puts its hand over my ears and the migraine goes away. There's a deep sea valley with a thousand rocks everywhere. Within the valley is something that appears to be a city within a giant bubble. Has it been down here this whole time? The city appears to have been here for thousands of generations. There are columns and towers that mermaids can swim freely in and out of. The soldier mermaids have tritons and wear funny looking helmets with kelp coming out the top.

Black flakes slipped from beneath the band and floated to the floor. He reached for it but her hand gripping his wrist so fiercely he felt her fingers cutting into his flesh stopped him. “Don’t touch it!” She ordered. The sound was followed by a broken shriek before she could pinch it off. *** “What is it?” He demanded in frustration. “Seringue. If you touch it, it’ll kill you.” She warned through gritted teeth. Breathing quickly in shaking breaths. Peeling her death grip from his wrist he changed the hold and interlocked his fingers with hers. She gripped it tightly, drawing her knees to her chest and making small choking sounds.

I say, taking off the net was quite easy, it melts quickly with my scales. And the effortless way to die is not what I aim for, I want to show them why sirens are feared, why they should not mess with me especially, the one and only princess of sirens. With one smile I continue to sharpen my teeth before biting one of the men’s neck off, yes, we are brutal creatures. The other men seem to have snap out of the illusion my voice enchanted them in. but it will never stop me, stop me from biting their necks off and watching them scream and shiver in agony.

Its demon–hylian ears slightly flapped jubilantly as the owner smiled, to showcase a pair of fangs pointed at its mouth. "You are beautiful!" A harmonious voice escaped from its mouth with utters that made Amethyst's mouth agape from flabbergast. In slow motions, the water creature swam out of the pool and there, it seated itself on the edge of the pool— sitting closely, next to Amethyst. "A siren!? Daughter of NERIDA!?" Amethyst blurted out, her forehead frowning perplexingly at the one next to her baffled self. In response, the siren giggled shyly while her glistening and dazzling turquoise tail with tapered ends magnificently kicked the water up and down.

I shudder out nervously. He doesn’t respond at first. After a moment, he lays his head back on the headrest and closes his eyes with a sigh. My body tenses when he turns his head towards me and opens his eyes to reveal their glowing embers. My breath hitches at the sight of his sharp teeth. His face looks narrower, almost otherworldly. His cheekbones are harsh and rigid. “I told you that we needed to talk.” He mutters through an even gravelly voice. My heart races as warning alarms resound in my head. I shake my head as panic sets in. What have I gotten myself into?

I shook my head before returning to my resting position, thankful that she couldn't see my smiling face from her little show of magic. "Oh come on. That was awesome," She reasoned, laying across my back in an attempt to get my attention but I only growled in response. She giggled, "I'm sorry." I didn't reply, already knowing I was never mad at her in the first place. A few moments passed before she spoke again. "I'm actually a Syren. A full-out, mind-controlling, water-bending Syren. Wow..." I felt her body relax as her breathing began to level. Soon enough she was out like a log, snoring and all.

Another lunged at her with a blade of coral and glass, but Valia caught the wrist mid-swing, crushed it, and drove her claws into the Siren’s throat. A male Siren lunged from the side, his trident singing with blue fire. Ligon caught it between both hands, twisted, and shattered it, sending shards flying. His snarl reverberated through the cavern, shaking loose a rain of crystal dust. Still, the Sirens sang. Their harmonies swirled through the air like invisible chains, pressing against the warriors’ minds, coaxing, commanding and seducing. But Valia’s lips parted, her own voice rising in answer.
