It was a robbery case, one with a video tape showing how the defendant stole from the store belonging to Crown, but instead of him to plead guilty, he insistently kept pleading non-guilty, requesting for a trial. How the hell am I going to solve a case like that? And there was a video tape? Hell no.

The judge then connected the memory extractor to my brain. A few seconds passed as the judge watched the footage. For the first time ever, the robot judge's monotonous voice actually wavered. Finally, the judge declared, "The plaintiffs' case has been dismissed. The defendant wins." The final verdict only lasted a few words, yet it felt like ages had passed. The entire courtroom froze in disbelief. "The defendant won? Has the judge been bribed or something?" "She definitely bribed someone! There's no way that wicked woman won this case. This is absurd!
