I muttered. “Farewell, until we meet again comrade.” Ava said. I gave a nod of acknowledgement before focusing on the task at hand. With the torch in my grasp, I hurried through the dark, winding pathway while the sound of the boulder shifting back into place echoed in the cave. My heart pounded in my chest as I hurried my footsteps. By the time I reached the mouth of the cave, the torch was sputtering, threatening to go out. I extinguished it before stepping out into the cool evening air.

The cave was narrow and couldn't accommodate more than two people at a time, or so Ruth had happily explained when she'd ordered me to stay behind at camp. Fine by me. Rain clouds rolled over the forest, sending enough water to restart a biblical flood. Instead of walking through the cold caves, I sat in the trailer, wrapped in a wool shirt, scarf, and gloves, reading Heinlein while sipping my third hot tea of the day. It was my job to talk to the Daily Post reporters, who would arrive later that morning. Meanwhile, I was enjoying one of the rare downtimes on the site.

If Caden noticed the change, he pretended he didn’t, letting her carry on. “Remember this morning when you and Andy found me and Janet a little shook after our walk?” “Yeah.” “Something happened.” “I knew it!” Caden sounded victorious, as if a little kid. “We discovered the caves which Khama mentioned about.” “The cave with the rocks with ancient symbols?” “Yeah. Me and Janet went for a walk and ended up near some caves. We assumed it might be those caves and decided we would go and see it ourselves.” “And you went in alone?”

But he felt frozen. And then something hit him. The cave. Jay had just said that they should go to the cave. But Jacquard had never even mentioned the cave . So how did- .." Quite, everybody!" Jacquard said. The voice died out. Jacquard cocked his head at Jay. " I never mentioned the cave." Jay blinked. " Huh?" " The cave. I never told any of you that we were going to the cave. How did you know about it? Jay looked confused. He shrugged. "I don't know. I guess it was on the map. I just thought-" he broke off and swallowed. " What? Why are you looking at me like that for? Did you see anything familiar that you can relate with or something weird."

The freezing stone of the altar bit into my bare skin, a constant, throbbing reminder of my failure as I lay perfectly still in the pitch-black chamber. So, this was really it. After all the frantic running, all the agonizing pain, all the humiliating falls, and all the desperate fights I had put up across the country, this hidden, bloody cave would finally be the place where my story ended.

I said gripping him the his shirt "No sir" he replied like someone who had seen a ghost "How about the injured patient that was brought here a while ago by a red ambulance, any ideas on where he was taken? I continued asking still holding his shirt "Hmm, he was taken to the central hospital, it just few blocks from here" he replied releasing himself off my grip, then ran away, I quickly ran to the central hospital there I found Linx, he was in the blood storage room consuming blood as he pleased, he had even killed two nurses with the aim of sucking their bloods

A louder explosion sent the entire cave crashing into the ground and the entrance of the cave came falling down, shrouding her in darkness. This is it? This is how I die? As she lay on her side, her paws stretched out and bleeding in front of her Cathy let out a weak sardonic laugh. More rocks had fallen on her, bouncing off her body but not before leaving deep bruises on her flank and legs. One night of happiness and this is the price I have to pay for it? Carl? Chase? Her parents? The rest of the pack? They wouldn’t know she was slowly dying in a cave. Would Ted tell them? Did he know there had been bombs set off in the cave?

The slightly old woman shook her head before approaching the two pathways, “There was a story here in this province that got famous and known to our people. It’s about a couple, who went inside of this cave where no one was around.” “They have realized that fact and decided to do something bold because they both knew no one would get inside.” “Unfortunately, they didn’t know that the tide would be that high during those moments, they were both engulfed with what they were doing and didn’t realize that the flood was slowly filling up the cave.” “It was already too late when they realized that the water was filling up the cave, so they made sure to be with each other until the whole cave drow

" I raised an eyebrow and was no longer enticed by the food. I listened to my older brother's story while he was eating. When he finished, he smiled at me. "You? You want to come along?" He asked which I immediately declined. "I will stay here," "All right, so you can experience it too. It's so fun, lots of food—" "I'm just here, brother." He leaned over and eventually nodded. "Hm, 'kay, you said e." He smiled again and stood up. "I'm taking a bath." He walked away and I was left here. Imagine the stories he told during the fiesta of La Cuevas.

“I know where the cave is” “What?” “The cave that Carlos and the girl shared in the story” “I asked the caretaker and she said there’s small waterfalls inside the mountain. I bet we can find the cave there” she explained. “You don’t think it’s a story invented to promote this place?” Daniel challenged her. “No, I asked about Carlos or the girl and no one knows about them” she sounded convinced. “Let’s just go, Daniel. If there’s no cave, then I’ll accept the story as it is”
