We both laughed then… a loud, slightly unhinged sound that filled the empty spaces of my office and probably echoed down the hallway outside. It was the kind of laughter that only comes from people who have survived the absolute worst together and have nothing left to do but find the horror funny. The kind that borders on hysteria, that releases years of pent-up frustration in a single, cathartic moment. The kind that makes your ribs ache and your eyes water, not entirely from amusement.

And almost choked my fried on my throat. "Don't say such horrified words Laura! You almost stop my breathing!" I said to her while I gulped water from my glass. "I mean if your not lesbian. Then how come your not attracted to those guys? Aren't they yummy?" She said to me while pointing those guys "Did you eat them? Cause you said there yummy!" I said to her and she rolled her eyes on me. "Of course not! But just look at those piece of meat there! Goodness I can swallow them!" She giggled and I almost gagged just thinking about it.

It felt frightening…and so right. No, this is wrong!

I shook my head, wiping the corner of my eyes with my ringless finger. “I-I’m sorry,” I say, in between fits, “It's just that this whole thing”, I gesture between the two of us, “is fucking hilarious, don't you think?” The corners of his lips twitch slightly, fighting an annoyed smile “Funny isn't the word I would use to describe your current situation, Solnishko” There's an edge in the way he says those words that cause the laughter to quickly die down on my tongue. What the fuck did he mean by that?
