My world is a mapped out labyrinth. A seemingly impossible quest to find anything in the latter. Something so simple for others, but to me an unobtainable thing. Serenity, the one thing I yearn for since I can remember. Right in the centre of all the chaos and destruction, I dare to say, was brought upon me by my beloved ones. In a world as dark and cunning as mine one would think to take the first opportunity and get away from it all. All the anger and desires burning one from the inside and starting anew.

Joseph replied. "I wish I could stay for some more time. But I guess I have to go. This seems like a long staircase," Ms. Lilac eyed the staircase they reached after walking for 10 minutes. The forest was gone. Everything around them was clouds and a beautiful stairway starting from one end towards the sky. "It just looks like a long one. But it isn't. It is time for you to rest now, ma'am. You've done a great job while you were alive. I hope you will rest well," Joseph bowed his head to her.

His reflection leaned close, chains grinding against chains, and whispered: “They don’t need you. They need me.” Kael bared his teeth. “Then I’ll tear you apart.” The clash became a storm. The chamber filled with the screech of steel, the boom of Brann’s axe, the sharp ring of Seris’s blade, the hiss of chains. Write your name on one. Leave the rest blank.” I held his gaze, unblinking. “If I draw your name first, I’ll marry you on the spot.” “But if it’s the twelfth...”

She lifted the box, and the whispers in the walls fell silent. The silence was more terrifying than the voices had been. Yuri opened the box. Even though they were exhausted, the Blade's dim brightness kept them focused on their mission. They eventually arrived at the centre of the labyrinth, a big room filled with a strange, fluctuating light. A pedestal with a piece of crystalline light on top stood in the middle of it. It beat in time with the beat of Kael's heart. With amazement in her voice, Zara said, "The Fragment of Truth." The surrounding shadows started to twist furiously as Kael got closer to the pedestal. A tall figure—a representation of the Labyrinth itself—rose out of the shadows. It was a whirling vortex of light and shadow, constantly shifting in shape.

Abraham's Lamborghini was still parked at the place where he had left it. All the students were scattered on the mountain peak in the form of small groups. The night had prevailed with all its darkness and cold. The teachers had scolded the students who hadn't followed the rules but there was nothing much they could do about it because no one was willing to listen to them. "Minahil," Yara was calling her from outside who had zipped up herself in her tent and hadn't come out once since they had come here. Yara was unaware of her racing and her encounter with Abraham.
