I picked up a stick and poked at the fire, causing the flames to jump up. “Finally, you are alone.” I heard Prince Dagon say, before going quiet, “Still not going to talk, huh? You really are a stubborn bride.” “I am not your fucken bride.” I thought back. “Remains to be said, do you think I could really control anyone with just one bite?” He laughed. “For me to be able to control someone who was not my bride, they would need to drink my blood as well, and you say you are a vampire hunter.”

I was engaged with a book about hunters which I got from William's old book collection. Hunters were half human and half supernatural. They looked like humans but has speed of werewolves. They can detect any werewolves near by. Their violet eyes starts glowing. Unlike other supernatural creatures hunters did not have other supernatural powers other than their speed that they can only use if their prey is near them.

My body ached as though the joints were going to separate, and I struggled to open my eyes despite the fact that my eyelids were heavy. I struggled for a while until I started to feel a little more awake. This is the first time I've encountered this situation since I joined the werewolf hunter group. As a hunter, my eyes also have a few advantages over an average human. Like now, even though I'm just in a closed, dark space, it's still enough for me to see everything thanks to the faint light emitted from the round lamp hanging above my head.

The man had a slight tan skin, a red fang mark on his right cheek, and some scars on his hands that were visible due to the short sleeved upper clothes. Hail shoved me behind him and loosed a bolt from his crossbow, catching the nearest hunter in the shoulder, a shot that should have been lethal but merely made the creature stumble. Lena fired precise shots from her position, each bullet finding its mark but doing minimal damage. The hunters didn't bleed like normal humans; instead, a thick, black substance oozed from their wounds.

I nodded to Xavier, he had every right to hate me, and if that made him feel better, then I would take it. I closed my eyes as he raised the knife and waited for him to plunge it deep into my chest. The hunters knew that they were getting close. They crept forward, their weapons at the ready, until they caught sight of Tate standing in a clearing, his massive form silhouetted against the moonlit sky. Without hesitation, the hunters opened fire, their silver bullets ripping through the air and striking Tate with deadly force. Tate came to realize at that moment that he had been on a bad path for so long and barely escaped from the hunters.
