I manage to make it into the shower and turn the tap on before slumping to the floor. The waters so cold it makes my teeth clatter and my skin to break out in goosebumps. But the fire’s still burning. It burns my fingertips against my drenched clothes. It burns my touching thighs. It burns a path on my cheeks from the silent tears. It burns my lungs with every laboured breath. The perfect leather bound book scent hits me and sweet relief engulfs me the moment warm hands cup my cheeks. “Danika?” His voice is panicked. “What’s wrong?” He wipes the tears form my cheeks and I sob in relief.

“She’s just another victim. Let Daren play. It will make Aaron bleed faster.” I turn to her slowly. “Just another victim?” “Yes.” She smirks. “Aaron’s downfall won’t come from you clinging to Lena. It will come from the spectacle of his world crumbling. Don’t lose focus.” The word burns through me. Victim. That’s how she talks about Lena—as if she’s a disposable piece in her game. I lean close, my voice low, dangerous. “You forget yourself, Vivienne. Lena is not yours to discuss.”

“You are. You didn’t drink a drop of that wine just ten feet away from where we’re sitting, did you?” “No.” “Well, there you go.” He took a deep breath. “You could have downed that whole bottle to escape from seeing him again tonight, to escape what he did to you, but you didn’t. You stared it down, you called for help. You survived it, you got through. You’re a survivor.” “I’m not.” Her voice broke. “I was the perfect victim – I created this whole life where I could be raped and nobody would believe me if I told them what happened. And he knew it – he knew it.”

Honestly, I know this is not the best work out there and this is definitely not my best work. I will not ramble about how I started writing this book only for fun and how it became a paid story. No. I just wanted to stop by and let you all know that this book is actually a part of a series called PERFECT FOR YOU. Vincent and Joyce’s book is actually book 2 in the series. Richard, Misoo and Beau have their own book and so do Jordan and Aubrey, as well as Olivia Stanton.

The leader commanded pointing a gun at me as i slowly crawled out. They kicked my phone far away and pressed a knife against my neck. “Please please don't kill me” i begged fearfully. The leader smirked and looked at me lustfully. “You don't look so bad” he drawled, tracing the tip of his gun between my breasts. I shivered in fright closing my eyes. Suddenly, the door bursted open a large group of musculine men rushed in. “Paul.?”

I ignored the cool water, letting it rain down on me, feeling that I was about to figure things out. Maybe this was an empty threat. A prank to destabilise Clara and me, break us up by creating rumours. A jealous Clara suitor? So this isn’t about Chris and me. It’s a camper. Someone who probably knew Chris from camp, likely from the sports camp faction. They were at Bonfire Night, heard the announcement from Clara and got jealous of me. Then, they happened to catch the moment of Chris and I staring at each other and took a photo. The photo was then pinned on my locker to make Clara suspicious and break up with me.

Allena's crying face swirled in her head, as Allen's fellow women felt sorry for Keisha. "Honey, listen, if all the victims of crimes like you have an empty police station, there's no one. Do you know why? Because victims can't bear to see the perpetrators cry for forgiveness. Allena, Keisha, and the other criminals should have realized this before they did. his action is not even regretted when he has succeeded in committing a crime because regret, in the end, is useless.
