This was one of the strange, unexplainable things happening to me. When I lifted my head, I caught Tobias staring at me with disbelief written all over his face. His lips parted, his eyes wide, as if he had seen a ghost. It was the same look I saw on the faces of the villagers that night—fear mixed with confusion. My stomach churned.

He crossed the room and put both hands on Clara's face and looked at her the way you look at a person you are absolutely certain about, and Clara looked back at him, and the room had the particular quality of a moment that doesn't belong to anyone watching it.

What intrigued him more was her unwavering gaze fixed upon him, as if she could peer into the depths of his being. Tobias was both curious and uncomfortable because he didn't remember ever crossing paths with her before. As he settled into a chair and placed his belongings on the floor, his eyes remained locked with hers. Unexpectedly, she offered a cryptic smile before vanishing through the doorway and into the depths of the tavern.

He traced Tanner’s exposed throat, down to his collarbone, lazily, then ended up at the shifter’s shoulder. The Alpha remained bent toward his head messenger. Tobias licked his lips slowly, his eyes fixed on Tanner’s Adam’s apple as he continued in a deep rumble, “Are you telling me the wolf with red eyes issued an Alpha cry?” he asked almost as sweetly as Misha had smiled at him less than two minutes ago.

A whisper I couldn’t silence. What if he isn’t lying? “No,” I muttered. “No, that’s impossible.” Tobias had ocean-blue eyes. I knew that. But suddenly… I couldn’t remember the eyes that had been above me that night. The eyes that had looked into mine while soft promises were whispered against my skin. That was the hole in my memory. I’d been drunk. I squeezed my eyes shut, trying to remember. Nothing. Then—light. Fingers brushing my hair back. The faint metallic scent.

She said and pulled his hand away from his mouth. She put her hand on his forehead and pulled his long hair up. Her eyes slightly widened once they met him. This was the first time they clearly made eye contact. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. Why would someone try to hide this with such ugly glasses? She expected to see something else but this isn't normal. His eyes were even more beautiful than hers. His orbs were grey..his eyelashes were thick and long. Even his eyebrows were long and thick. She expected him to have soft features but he has extremely sharp features. She couldn't help but keep looking at him. If this goes around like this...he will end Tobias.

After adjusting herself a little, she finally mustered the courage to hop off Alex’s back. After that, Alex activated the two women’s spiritual eyes to see the presence of ghosts. “Oh my goodness!” As soon as Anna’s spiritual eyes were activated, she shouted out loud. She noticed the female ghosts staring at her directly from two meters away. That feeling was way too terrifying! “Maiko Chiba!” Alex took out the Stake of Exorcism and immediately summoned the Japanese female ghost general. Shuffle! Maiko Chiba instantly appeared before them and bowed to Alex. “Master, what can I do for you?”

Toby gulped in fear and started to urinate in his trousers as he couldn’t take his eyes off of the thing that stood two inches apart from him. The thing had raised its large hands to strike Toby, who had already closed his eyes, prepared for death, before it looked at the jersey he was wearing and started to scream with different voice pitches at the same time, causing it to run into the denser part of the forest. Toby ran as fast as his feet could carry him and arrived at the cabin to meet his friends who had obviously experienced something horrible. ‘‘Guys, where’s Eucharia?’’ Toby looked around, ‘‘tell me!’’ his eyes opened wide as bad imaginations made their way into his mind.
