Because he knows I don’t trust him. “Take care of yourself, Maeve,” he says quietly as he stalks away with Fenrir at his side. I watch as they disappear out of sight, and when I return my gaze to the group, Luca is staring at me. I know he watched me watch Callan walk away. Immediately shame coils up my face and I look away. Seyla ignores whatever is going on, and loops her arm through mine. “Let’s get you back to your room. You look like shit.”

she was going to look for me she would have at least come over so where we held the meetings for the incoming battle and not here a deserted wood. He continued with his last breath saying that from the moment they saw her there was something suspicious about her but they did not really care too much and just approach her as they normally do it was then that they exchanged some words with her, they were able to figure out that she was planning something against Maeve and then she sent her guards on them and he was the only one that had managed to escape though with severe injuries.

Thalia breathed in, slow and shaky and somehow, the tears didn’t come. Her heart still hurt but somewhere inside, resolve had begun to form. Whatever love she had for Mikael... was dead. He killed it. And now, all that remained was a woman who no longer had anything left to lose. ~~~~~~~~~ "Sir. We caught her… along with a man she was with.” Kael’s jaw twitched at the mention of another man. A man? Alina had been with someone? His pulse surged as confusion tightened in his chest in a way he didn’t understand. He hated that it still affected him after what his men found out. That the name, the face, the ghost of her presence still stirred something inside him even after everything.

It was clear that Evangeline was some magical being, there was a romantic history between the two of them, and the relationship hadn't ended well. Apparently, there was some sort of deadline involved in all of this, and the fighting here was a result of whatever had happened between them.

It wasn't all that bad living in the gray mansion, but she still couldn't remember Damien being her husband. Sinking herself into the water, she enjoyed the feeling. It smelled of lavender. Closing her eyes, she leaned back on the tub. **** "I love you" He said, clutching her hands to his chest tightly "I love you so much, Ariel. They hadn’t even gone a hundred meters, when they heard growls of wild beasts. “Run Amelia!” he shouted as he held her hand and dragged her with him. “The demetris are coming.” “So kill them with your magic!” she said. “I can’t! They are magical cannibals who infect their prey into killing themselves!”

A feminine voice commanded as the portal opened up in front of Hael, and then she was there, standing in front of him, the woman he destroyed thousands for, Maeve. "Mate," he purred as the striking lady stormed through the opening, marching straight up to his towering frame. Hael was completely unprepared for the force of her fury as Maeve unleashed her anger, hitting him with magic so potent he was knocked off his feet. Valenar used that distraction to lower his shield so that both Raeann and he could go to Shadow and Bella, wasting no time putting it back up as soon as Raeann ran over. He wasn't taking any chances.

Damien texted me to find out how things were going with me, and when I explained Maeve’s condition to him, he was really worried and so was Khal. The next morning, I heard that Khal, Damien, Maggie, Charlotte, and Alpha Kelvin came into Crescent Moon underground pack. Again, I say that Maeve was truly blessed to have people around her who cared about her a lot. I, on the other hand, was trying my best to be strong for Maeve.
