They are also the favorite ones. I don't want to feel jealous towards them but I can't help it. I envy them because our parents' attention is always to them. I can't help but to think that, Am I still belong here? Sometimes life is too hard to be alone and sometimes life is too good to be alone. Being alone is also a choice. It's either you need to stand on your own, or let people help you stand, risking your everything that may broke down easily because you trusted them.

Carissa's POV “Don’t you feel lonely?” I asked cautiously. Dylan thought for a moment. “Sometimes, yes. But over time, I got used to it. Loneliness… isn’t an enemy, more like an old friend that comes and goes.” I gripped the pillow tighter. “I understand what you mean.” He turned his head and looked at me. “Do you feel the same way?” I took a deep breath. “Yes. I often feel that way. There are moments when I’m surrounded by people, but I still feel alone. Oddly enough, there are moments when I’m alone, but I feel full.”

And for the first time in a long time… I felt completely, devastatingly alone.

I've been gone from California for nearly 48 hours and now I'm just here, all alone. Does anyone know what its like to feel completely alone? Even around people you have known for years but know that they don’t give a damn about what’s going on inside. That even when you feel you’re at your best you can’t seem to do anything right. Everything you do just doesn’t work out. You try your hardest and still fail. And no one is there to pick back up the broken pieces. Loneliness is a horrible thing. It’s a cold feeling. No one should ever have to feel lonely. It consumes you slowly shaking you.

Alone. Just like me. Everything still broken.

But I don't feel entirely alone for the first time in a long time. And that, I realize, is a start.

I'm not alone anymore, and goodness does it feel fantastic. So this is the final part of "Alone" and I can't believe it's over. It's the longest book I've written but it's also been so fun to write. I'm sorry to keep waiting for the updates. And thank you all for the patience, love and support!
