Her face was swollen while she was still crying letting down tears that broke me. The floorboards vibrated as I detect a movement moving towards the door. I didn’t expect that Zack made it up to the room as he was still clutching his chest. His breathing wasn’t regulated anymore as it was terrifying loud. A sob ripped through my throat, I couldn't hold back the emotions of the day any longer. The sight of seeing Zack laying on the ground with his blood spilling out his head, with the torture of not knowing what will happen when I get home and all the pain I was in. I look at him confused. “What’s wrong?” I ask. “Um, Crissy there is something I need to tell you, “He says with hesitation. “My father's funeral is tomorrow.” “What? How…” I stop mid-sentence. “Zack killed my father, I couldn't get to him in time.” Austin looks toward the ground. “I am so sorry,” I say pulling him in for a hug. “I will come with you. No way I'm losing you again.” “It would mean a lot to me. thank you, Crissy.” He looks towards Thomas. “You're also welcome Thomas.”

He finally came to a pause before turning to face me, "Hey, why do you look sad? There's even tears in your eyes!" I quickly wiped them off with the back of my hands before sniffing back the rest. "It's nothing!" I said trying to fake a smile, but the pain in my heart didn't let the smile come. All I could muster was a bitter smile. "Meghan, something is not right, why are you unhappy? Is this not what we have all been waiting for? We are going to be parent my love, don’t you realize how big this is? I can finally shut everyone up. This news have made me so fucking happy" Zack said, kissing my hand over and over again.

A second after I did it, I realized what a mistake it was. But then a roar echoed in the surrounding area, accompanied by a very indiscriminate cursing. “Haves, you're such a monumental cunt!” It was Zack. And right now he was on his knees against me, his hands clutching his nose, a spray of blood coming out of it. Someone started giggling above us.

Zack tightened his grip on me. “No Zoe. I’m not. Why did you save me? You shouldn’t have done it” he whispered back to me in his devastated tone whilst crying. “it’s all right dude. You'll thank me later” I chuckled with an aching heart. “I lost Zoe. I lost my everything today and have no reason to live anymore. I’m so fucking done” Zack poured his heart out and I patted his head like consoling a baby. “Do tell me this tomorrow too because until I’m alive, you’re not fucking die so miserably” I replied to him with a smile.
