That's why we are in here? "Excuse me! I'm not feeding on anyone." "Do you want to find what happens to demons when they don't fulfill the needs of their empty souls?" Cassandra asks.

It was surrounded by those 'walkers', stumbling around like they were in a trance. "What are they?" He breathed out, staring in disbelief. He chugged some water, letting out a sigh of hydrated relief. "They call them walkers." She pointed the screen down slightly to allow him to see easier and switched to the website she was reading. "There's information on them, finally." As Adam read, she watched his expression change from confused to terrified. "This is like an actual zombie movie." He spluttered, barely able to get his words out. Behind them, a stirring caught their attention.

The hostel room was dimly lit, its battered furniture and faded look a stark reminder of the chaos outside. Joseph sat by the window, his fingers gripping the cracked sill as his gaze swept over the campus below. The zombies still shuffled aimlessly, their low growls and guttural noises cutting through the eerie silence. He willed them to move away, even if just for a moment, but they stayed rooted, their presence a constant reminder of the nightmare that had engulfed the campus.

Thick, dark red pus dripped down the wooden frame like ink. "You should know that office walls are mostly drywall," Griffin said behind her. The moment his voice fell, every wall around them cracked and split apart with a loud boom.

The next morning, the guards and chef were already awake before I was. I had barely finished washing up when I saw them standing in the main hall waiting for me. Judging from the looks on their faces, they had already seen what was happening outside. I turned toward the street beyond the one-way glass just in time to see a swarm of grotesque zombies roaming the roads. Some still vaguely resembled humans, but most were drenched in blood, their faces twisted into horrifying shapes. A few were so badly mutilated that their organs spilled out as they ran.

A gust of wind sent chills through her body, and she turned to see Mason tackling Julian to the ground; both vampires had their fangs bared, just as planned. Zander staggered drunkenly until his vision cleared. He steadied himself and reached into his jacket for his gun; cocking and aiming it at the fighting vampires. His aim constantly shifted as Mason and Julian continued to gain the upper hand on one another; and with another gust of wind, Julian had vanished.

Her eyes went wide with shock: tiny skeletal remains slipped out. She froze, watching in horror as the bones instantly shattered, turning to a fine dust that vanished before her eyes. Ghouls rushed forward, sickles raised to cleave her. Suddenly, Horan surged between them. He cursed with every ounce of his being, delivering a bone-jarring kick to the face of each attacker. "I don't give a damn about bad deeds in times like these!" he spat. "Jennet, get up!" Horan nudged her leg, his voice sharp with urgency.
