It feels like within seconds that name turned into Anastasia Bolton. Yes, she was my ex-girlfriend before, but before I could experience a new life, a better life with her, since I promised myself I would be a good guy when I started dating her, the universe let her meet her true love, Brian Bolton, my best friend. It was silly, for a woman who I just knew less than a month, I planned perfectly how I wanted to settle down, build a family, with her and her lovely son, Benjamin. Now, seeing her with Brian and living a happy life, all I can do is laugh. Fai…...you planned too far and look at you right now! Single and alone….

I thought my decision to pursue her after Brian gave up on her will bring happiness to both of us. I, once again, thought about building a happy family with her and Ben. However, that night, when I was about to make love to her, I saw her eyes and I finally said, I can’t do it. No more making a second mistake. 

Rosie Hart is the biggest mistake that happened in my life. She is such manipulative and I was dumb enough at that time, falling for her scheme. I was young back then, when all I had in my head was sleeping with different girls. I used to avoid my friend’s woman, since New York City has many gorgeous and sexy ladies, making plenty of options for me, and additionally I have a powerful status among the rich. But it took only one wrong step, the night when Rosie told me she want to have sex with me once, it turned into months of cheating scandal until she became pregnant. She told me not to worry because she will tell Brian it was his child, but I was freaking out. I then decided to leave New York City, build a new life here, in London.

After what happened, did I change, become a better man? NO!

Old life in the new place. London treats me right, I had tasted plenty of women here and I planned to continue living like this. From one-night stands, friends with benefits to casual relationships, but no serious relationship. Not until I saw those pairs of grey eyes. She said her name, Arianna Berg, such a beautiful name, just like her. I was hurt once when I knew she was divorced and has a son, but then, I was bold enough to take the risk, to date her and it turned out it was one of the best relationships I ever had. I was at my best, a mature and caring man, for her and Benjamin. Don’t ask me how a playboy like me turned out to be like that. I guess it came up naturally. I want to take care of both of them, whenever I’m around them.  

It hit me, when I found Anna was Brian’s ex-wife. Brian Bolton, I hurt him once, pretty bad I guess. Unlike me, Kevin, Mark or Ryan, he can be said to be the best one among us, in terms of relationships. He didn’t play around, only loyal to Rosie, his forever girlfriend, who felt bored with him and cheated on him with me. When I heard he said he won’t let go of Anna, unlike what he has done with Rosie, that time, I understand that I shouldn’t mess around. Not sure if he sees me as his best friend or not, but sleeping with my best friend's woman will be out of my list, even though I adore Anna more than anything. I could write a book, a lovely book about Anna. She is just breathtaking, every man's dream.  

We’re friends now and I have a so-called ‘deal’ with Brian that I can spend time with Ben once in a while. Sometimes, I saw her with Brian, when we went out on the weekend, me, them and Damian. It makes me happy, seeing her laughing or smiling beautifully around her husband. Whenever I saw her, I was thinking……wondering if I will meet someone that makes me feel like she has done to me. I certainly like myself better when I’m with her, a responsible man, that’s how I called myself. However, until the day come, meeting someone new like her, I, for sure, will come back living my old life, a life that full of sex and women. 

I took my Aston Martin One-79 key and left my penthouse, heading to the club.
