รวมเรื่องสั้นโรมานซ์ By ฝ้ายสีคราม (เล่ม 6)

I sit in my throne, it’s black and guilded with a floral pattern in the wood very grand, very regal. I’m slumped with my legs hanging over an arm of it, a glass of blood in my hand. I’m listening to an “advisor" drone on and on about several treaties and relations and blah, blah blah, blah. 

It’s agonisingly boring. I want to run away and play with one of my toys. My favourite toy is a witch. She crossed me long ago but I spared her life. She is useful to me. Very useful. 

Our world has laws much like your world. Believe it or not, we are not fans of killing. Unless there is cause. We don’t need that much blood and we can heal the wounds, we leave on our food. I’ve drained a human dry before. I felt bloated and couldn’t eat for a week. Gross. Yes, it was wrong but when you are bored, you’re bored. 

Note, I am above the laws. 

I glide across the black and white marble floor "MAJESTY!!" Alarich my advisor, soon realises his mistake as I raise my hand in front of me. My fingers curl into a fist. Alarich crumbled to the floor in pain gasping for air "Tsk, tsk Aalrich. Do you forget your place?" My eyes are glowing, power radiating from me. 

"Maj...es..ty" he choked out, holding his throat. His long blonde hair hangs over his cheeks. When my rage is subdued. I nod to a guard, who rushes to Alarich and helps him to his feet. "Forgive me your grace, my sincerest apologies for the disrespectful show, I mean no ill will. I am your most loyal servant".

I continued to walk past the many men of my court. My hand caresses each one as I walk past. I stop in front of a particularly striking one. He has the most enchanting ice blue eyes, His black chin length hair hangs straight. My eyes trail down his beautiful muscular form, then back up to his face. He looks back at me with a devious grin. 

My hand cups his cheek and I trace my finger down his angular jaw, his neck to his chest. Cutting with my nail along the way. I place my finger in my mouth and slowly suck the blood off. It's sweet and bubbles on my tongue. Like popping candy "mmmm a Fae" I take his hand "come" I command leading him to the large and beautifully carved black double doors. 

My hand touched the handle when Alarich pleads "My queen, we cannot avoid this much longer. I have been your advisor for two centuries. You have reigned for five. The council will not allow you to go another century without an heir. The alignment is vast approaching. We are running out of time, I beg you. You must wake him". 

A wave of fear engulfed my body. My mark all over my left side burns with the thought of him. I quickly lick along the beautiful Fae's neck. The blood soothes me, before the show of weakness is evident. "Time is infinite, it does not run out" I reply with a bored tone. "Majesty, I beseech you the council demands it". I turn back to my throne and take my seat. 

My new pet Fae kneels beside me. Good boy. I run my hand through his silk like hair. "Majesty, I wish to see you reign and serve you for another five centuries. the coun....." I raise my hand to stop him. "I am above the council and the law, do not forget that" I'm getting increasingly annoyed and impatient. Looking at this beautiful man laying gentle and seductive kisses along my knuckles. I'm longing for his touch along my burning body. 

"I am bored, find another to reign and breed your prized heir" Alarichs eyes widen. "Majesty, you know it doesn't work like that. Only she who bares the mark or birthed from it can reign. Only he can give it or provide you with an heir". 

Alarich lowers his head in submission "I speak to you not only as your humble servant, but as a friend. If you don't perform your duty, despite you being above the law. Our kingdom will be emboldened and a potential unnecessary rebellion could be on our hands" 

My mark. To humans it looks like a tattoo all over my left side. It starts from my bite scar, above my left breast. Black vines and flowers trail from it, down my side and wrapping around my leg to my foot. Then it trails up my chest, along the side of my neck, swirling and wrapping down my arm and ending at the tip of my ring finger. 

To 'supernaturals' it shows my status, my title and who I belong to. I shudder as the vines move along my body, in a fluid motion as if they are growing at his memory. His black eyes, white hair, his fingertips on my skin, his kiss on my lips. I shake myself from my thoughts and glare at Alarich 

"I WILL NOT WAKE HIM" 

My voice thunders through the large throne room. All who reside in it are brought to their knees. Cowering and bowing their heads. I take a sharp inhale and the wave of power leaves them. They are able to return to their previous positions. Another member of my court approaches, I nod allowing her to come forward. Her long green dress, compliments her light brown hair and golden eyes.

"Mara, what say you?" Alarich takes her hand and guides her forward "My beautiful queen, only your blood can wake him, if you see it fit to subdue him after and place him back to rest. My men and I will happily comply" I smile at her and Alarich. "You think it's that easy. I will not be weak. You know this and he will see to it I am, specially if I carry his child".

Alarich places a gentle kiss to Mara's forehead. Grateful for his loves presence and offer. "Majesty your mark moves, it longs for him" She looks up at me with hopeful eyes. "Oh Mara, I cannot allow him back into the world. I am strong enough to take a rebellion on by myself, no one can kill me with this mark and no one else can hold it, whilst I'm alive. 

"You ask me to wake the only one who can kill me?"
