7 Deadly Sins: Pride Mga Nobela at Kwento

“That’s what all of you say. You hide behind your badge, your training, pretending you’re clean. But you’re just the same blood as him.” “Why are you doing this?” she asked, her voice breaking. “You’ve already ruined me, Quen. You’ve taken everything—” “No,” bulong nito, halos pabulong pero mabigat. “Not yet. You’ll start paying for his sins tomorrow.” Hinawakan niya ang kanyang baba, pinatingala siya.

Muling magtatagpo.

I held on tight as everything else faded away— _______ I closed my eyes tightly! Trying to erase those memories. I should forget this! Hindi pwede ito! Binilisan ko ang pag ligo. I don't want to remember it again, my sin, my unforgivable sin. Hindi dapat nila malaman ito, not even Jamaica.

It's about choosing what's best for everyone, especially for our child. This isn't about pretending everything is fine between us. It's about being mature enough to rise above the hurt and do what's right... what's best. Sins might give you a fleeting thrill, but they will never lead you anywhere worth going. Don't let the excitement of the chase steer your life. Take control. Be the captain of your own ship. Choose the right direction. Choose to be better. ◦•●◉✿ 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝐸𝑛𝑑 ✿◉●•◦

Knowing your sins is fertile ground for huge breakthroughs in life. Traditional religious sins try to reduce all these specific self-defeating behaviors into much broader, one-word categories of no-no behavior, such as "greed" or "pride" but those don't give us enough clues as to how else to go about things. I think if we want to make real changes in our lives, and sin less often, we need to get more specific, and more personal.

As usual, the church had been filled with people. Some were going to pray for real, and some for popularity because they're in politics. That's not good to know but that's a fact. People nowadays will do anything for their own ambitions. That's for rich people, well, sometimes for poor too.

Ngayon mas tinatawag silang The Seven (7) Deadly Sin.

"According to 1 John 2:16, For all that is in the world --- the lust* of flesh, the lust* of eyes, and the pride of life --- is not of the Father but is of the world. This means that all sin falls into these natures: lus* of flesh, lus* of eyes, pride of life. Whatever sin that is, it always falls into that three." "Yon pala 'yon, brother!" sabi ng isang lalaki. "Yan 'yong nabasa ko sa Bibliya. Ngayon ko lang naintindihan."

It's too impossible for him para hindi ako saktan. "You'll leave Dragunovv just like that? You know how much he hates him, right? Why don't you let me do it?" "Dearil, you're not used to do the things I've done and doing. What he wants is more power. He's evil. I want you to remain pure, DEATH. Let me atone my sins."
