"They have, ever since she was born." Cassandra set the little serpent among the piles of gold coins. The creature sagged in defeat and exhaustion after lying before that terrible fire. "There it is," Vasilisa's voice came from behind a mountain of walnut-sized raw rubies. It wasn't hard to find the book. It was placed on a golden stand in between two golden Sirin statues. The grimoire turned out to be the largest book Cassandra had ever seen, with pages made of parchment illuminated with tracery, and it was open to a page thickly covered with elegant, intricate writing.

I go the opposite way, painstakingly reading each and every title. “Callie!” Alice exclaims excitedly. “I think I found something.” I hurry over, seeing her pull a smaller black book off the shelf. There’s no title on this book, only a gold Baphomet overlaid on the leather. “The Book of the Beast,” I whisper, eyes lighting up. “I think you did find something.” She cracks the spine and I lean over, heart racing. And then the library doors open and close with a boom, echoing throughout the entire room. Alice and I both jump, and she quickly shoves the book into her cloak.

Alice whispered, her voice echoing in the stillness. “Seemed it is,” Pedro said, leading her to a small, cluttered room filled with candles and strange objects. The air felt thick with unease. Alice’s eyes fell on a small black book tucked away in a corner. She picked it up, her fingers trembling as she opened it. “Look at this,” she said, her voice barely a whisper. “Spells… ancient spells.” Pedro's eyes widened in fear. “She’s a disciple of the devil,” he said, trying to mask his terror. “We shouldn’t be here.”

“And get a chance to dine with the Mad Hatter? Drink tea with the Hare? Hells yes. I’ll even take the Vorpal blade and slay the Jabberwocky with it. Off with his head!” Alice laughed aloud. “I had no idea you’d read the books.” “Books? There are books as in plural?” “Yes, dumbo, there’s a sequel called Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There,” she said, punching my waist playfully as we walked. “I see. I see. So where would our Alice want to travel next?” I asked eagerly. “Somewhere where she can be alone with you and have her way with you,” she said slyly, squeezing my butt.

I sound so pathetic right now. Wondering around the house, I find myself in her office. Walking over to the bookcase, I look through the books she has and find one I've read quite a few time since I've been here but I always find myself going back to. Alice in wonderland. I don't know why I like it so much but i do. Sitting down at her desk I open the book and start to read. As I turn the page, I notice a folder that says Rogue.

They weren't moving gently due to the rain but we're practically rearranging themselves. Then, the old woman's last words struck a chord in her head. Alice didn't want to watch this horror scene anymore. She was scared out of her wits, staring at the bizarre things happening. She didn't care if it was still raining cats and dogs as the only thing in her head was to seek comfort in her tiny home. She had missed the warmth her tiny bed brought. Staring at the only leeway out of the cemetery, Alice wished she could have the power of invisibility. She knew if she truly wanted to leave this cemetery, she had to pass by the moving skeletons of long deceased humans and wolves. Left with no choice,

I knew the issue was coming. “Then something weird started happening. The candles went out, then they reignited themselves, but the flames were black and creepy. The wind was literally shaking the cabin, Mum. It was not good. It was the bad sign that Mindy mentioned to be wary of. I told Aiden that we needed to go, but he drank the blood, and then all hell broke loose. So, I ran.” Alice rushed her words; it was clear that she was still left unnerved by what happened, but what she was describing didn't make sense.

Alley said, smiling at me. We walked over and I sat down on the floor next to her. I held out the book and opened the first page to see what the contents were about. "The Blessed." I read out loud. The blessed? I turned the next page to see a man and woman, the man had a white shading while the woman had a black shading, "That could be a white witch and a dark witch.'' Alley said, studying the picture. I looked all over the page until my eyes laid on words that I didn't know how to comprehend at first. "When the light meets the dark a mix of good and evil is born." Um... What does that mean? I tensed a little as I read the words over and over. Alley was scribbling something down on a note

“Alice?” Scar blinks, uncertain of her eyes, “Lilith, did you see Alice coming off? She was on the pony in the last turn…” Saying that, Scar is already running towards the spinning carousel, her breath held, and her eyes darting around frantically as panic grabs her. Alice is gone! She was so certain that Alice took the pink pony, which was now empty as it passed Scar innocently, as if Scar remembered it wrong.

Alice mumbled. Leia stared at her with so much disapproval, but Alice turned a blind eye and opened her emergency comic book. She was reading Infinity Inc., the first volume and thirty-fourth issue. Of course, she had already read it, but she brought it today because this is where Hazard, a villain character, first appeared. Hazard was just like Alice. She brought bad luck to everyone around her but herself. And right now, Alice could relate to her more than anything else. When lunch came, Alice and Leia decided to take separate ways.
