SEDUCTION AND ASCENSION

SEDUCTION AND ASCENSION

He is still calm, still terrifying, still impossible to read. "You touched me," he says. "That is more than most students achieve in their first month." "It took me weeks to get here," I say. "It took you weeks to unlearn what you thought you knew." He steps back and taps his stick against the floor. "Your eyes taught you to see the world one way. Now you know there is another way. That is the breakthrough. Not strength nor speed but understanding." He turns and walks to the far wall of the underground space, his stick guiding him with perfect precision.

Captive To The Ruthless Heirs

Captive To The Ruthless Heirs

Jasper just scowled out the tinted window, his jaw clenched tight. Since nobody wanted to play, I turned my attention back to the prize sitting in my lap and yanked the zipper of the soaked backpack open then dumped the contents right onto the empty seat between me and Silas. A handful of plastic pens rolled across the upholstery, a cracked calculator and a few textbooks. “Kingsborough University,” I read aloud, tracing the damp emblem on the cover of an Advanced Statistics textbook. I raised an eyebrow, a slow wicked grin spreading across my face. “Well, look at that. Our little rat goes to our school.”

The Queen's Mate

The Queen's Mate

Zora held it out to me, "this belongs to you." I gingerly held the book between my fingers in fear it would disintegrate to ash if I was too rough. The leather on this book had been embroidered with purple thread—the image of a howling wolf's head being formed. If I listened closely enough, I could make out faint whispers coming from the book—a cacophony of different sounds urging me to do one thing: open the book. "The wings called to him the way the wolf calls to you," Zora explained. She moved to exit the room with one last statement, "Only one person would make a better queen than you and when it comes time for them to rule, you will be proud."

To the author, can you please just inform us of the status of this book. I understand that you have a life and things which are none of our business but as fans/ customers I still believe we should at least warrant an explanation concerning if this book will go unfinished. Please and thank you.

Cultivation with a System in the Modern World

Cultivation with a System in the Modern World

It was a sensation unlike any he had ever experienced before—like waves of light and sound merging to form a symphony of understanding. As the process unfolded, Danial's headache intensified, and he instinctively reached up to his temples, his fingers gripping his hair. It was as if his mind was being stretched and expanded to accommodate the influx of new information. The words of the book became more than just words; they were threads of knowledge weaving themselves into the fabric of his being.

Magnus: Dragon Prince

Magnus: Dragon Prince

Some titles seemed interesting to him, like ‘How to kill and skin a sand wurm by JJ Rulus’ or ‘The spirit realm unmasked by Sir Tapnes’ and some made him shiver at the thought of their contents, such as ‘A look inside of fae anatomy by Priest Daphne’ and ‘Histories of demonic possession that nearly ended existence by Krun. He had already finished two rows and had started on the third when a slight whispering in his ear broke his concentration, “You must kill.” “What the..?” Rex said out aloud, looking left and right, searching for the person who had made the sound, not being able to see anyone, he followed where he thought the whispering from coming from, rounding the end of the large booksh

This is actually a book! Most of the things I read on here have chapters consisting of 800 words or less This on the other hand has chapters that are 2k words on avg. plus the content is amazing. It could use a better editor cause there are a few gramatical errors, but overall, its my favorite book!

Very good world building, intriguing story, and decent characters. I'll be honest, I was just glad to find something on this app that wasn't smut. can't wait for more chapters, I've become very attached to the storyline and want to explore the world more.

The Dragon King's Obsession

The Dragon King's Obsession

Damien looked at the book Charlotte was holding and noticed that it was a historical book with the legends of dragons . " You choose a rather interesting book . " said king Damien with a smirk . " Huh ? " said Charlotte confused as she looked at the book . " It's a historical book of our world , one of the oldest with legends that have passed down from generation to generation . It has a lot of geographical, archeology and alchemy elements . Will you be able to understand it ? " said king Damien . ' Is he really asking that question to a prodigy student like me ?! He is a king . I am surprised how he hasn't even gotten a CV of mine from the human world . ' thought Charlotte as she flipped th

In your story you always have a fl who's family is powerful but she's a terrible life, is naive and stupid and under the rock. I've heard that you're making s2 of the other book once completed. If possible, plz don't make the new fl have any of the above characteristics. Sorry if this is off topic.

Although I agree with another comment about some issues with grammar and spelling it really isn't that bad compared to almost all other stories I've read here and I have to say that this story really struck a cord in my heart. Such a lovely and inspiring story and I am very pleased with how it ended

Elizabeth: The Great Reckoning

Elizabeth: The Great Reckoning

He continued toward the bus, climbing the stairs, leaving Ellie to stare after him in surprise. Ellie climbed back on the bus, avoiding Jake's gaze and finding her seat in the last row. She pulled out her chips, opened the bag, and put her headphones back in. Her mood hadn't improved much so she found a new classic audiobook. Ah, yes, there it was, Dickens always had a dreary narrative to fit her mood, a perfect fit following her upsetting realization that she would quite literally never escape the world of wolves. She turned the book on and stared out the window:

Jasper: The Beginning (Book 1)

Jasper: The Beginning (Book 1)

“Now, if you will not tell me why I am here, I will take my leave. I am a busy woman.” “Please forgive me,” Rowan begged in earnest. “The last thing I wanted to do is to insult you or waste your time. It was not my intention to do either.” When she simply stared at him with an expectant expression on her exotic, comely face, he continued with, “I have a conundrum on my hands.” “A conundrum?” she repeated with a mixture of mild amusement and feigned boredom. The old vampire nodded. “In all of my centuries, I have not encountered such a thing. I have under my roof a human who I discovered in an alley next to a headless zombie several months back. He had been bitten by a werewolf and was

Game of hearts: The Ruthless Alpha and his warrior bride

Game of hearts: The Ruthless Alpha and his warrior bride

I began to pull books down one by one, scanning their titles in the dim candlelight: Runes of the Forgotten Age. The Language of Power. Ether and Blood: The Mind as a Conduit. Most of them spoke in riddles, poetic nonsense, vague accounts of power that could move mountains or summon storms. I wasn’t looking for theatrics. I wanted understanding, control. Something I could use. Hours slipped by. I sat cross-legged on the cold ground surrounded by piles of open books. My eyes were sore, and my stomach cried out for good. But I couldn’t stop. Every word pulled me deeper.

Crimson Bloomed: Ascend

Crimson Bloomed: Ascend

By noon, the porcelain cracked with a sharp snap when she moved it. Aria muttered, "What the hell…" She cleaned it up slowly, deliberately. Anything to keep her hands moving. To keep her from thinking about how it felt like the whole bookstore was… holding its breath. She wandered into the back aisles. The mythology section was a mess — again. Probably some college kid hunting for ancient conspiracies to turn into a thesis. Her fingers skimmed the titles. Worn, faded, some crumbling at the spine. One caught her eye. Legends of the End Times.
