I pulled the gun out from my brother's hand and aimed it at a beer bottle at the other end of the warehouse that was bustling with people, "people don't pay me for messy, brother, they pay me to get the job done and disappear from their lives."
I waited for the perfect opportunity, lining up the barrel of the gun with my target. Once I was certain no one would cross my path, I pulled the trigger on my exhale. The bullet cut through the air with speed, eager to meet its target. Not even a second later that glass shattered. No one seemed to be fazed by the sound of the gun going off. It was as if they expected me to test out the gun.
