I sat up slowly, careful not to wake Willow, and padded over to the window.
The packhouse grounds were quiet under the moonlight. It was peaceful and beautiful, even.
It felt like a lie.
"Lyra," Sky said, her tone shifting. "Something's happening."
What do you mean? Before she could answer, pain lanced through my skull.
I gasped, pressing my palms to my temples.
"The barriers are breaking," Sky said urgently. "I can't stop it."
