Nangilid ang luha ni Alyana nang makita ang mga letrato na nagpapatunay ng panloloko sa kanya ni Derrick. Muling bumalik sa kanya ang sakit na talagang niloloko lang siya ni Derrick, na nioloko lang siya ng kaisa isang lalakeng pinagkatiwalaan niya. “Your boyfriend has been cheating on you since you’ve been together. Parang natigilan ang buong katawan niya, pero kasunod no’n ay ang mainit na dampi ng labi ni Gabriel sa kanya, mabilis, ngunit may bakas ng kontroladong pagnanasa. Isang halik na parang paunang tikim sa mas mapusok pang alok. Napasinghap si Alyana, napaigtad sa gulat. Napatingin siya sa mga mata ni Gabriel, matapang, diretso, at puno ng panunukso. "It's a win-win situation," bulong ni Gabriel, habang hindi inaalis ang tingin sa kanya. "Makakapaghiganti ka sa manloloko mong ex, at ako, makukuha ko ang mana ko."

My mother-in-law is extremely frugal. She reuses paper others have discarded, carefully saving the unmarked portions. She even takes the black waste oil from the kitchen range hood and uses it to cook our meals. She says, "Frugality is a virtue—it brings blessings!" I try tirelessly to convince her otherwise, throwing out all her filthy items to protect my family's health. But while she praises me to my face, behind my back, she uses my baby's food scissors to clip her grimy toenails. My child eventually dies of a lung infection, leaving me heartbroken. His words immediately reminded her what he had done to her last night. Anger and hatred brimmed up in her watery eyes, and she didn't even need to use her words to tell him that. Her tears told him the intensity of her hatred towards him after what he had done to her last night. His jaw clenched. His nefarious gaze hooded. Grabbing her fragile neck with his brawny palm, he pushed her against the wall more and hovered her. "You consider me as a monster, don't you?" Hearing him whispering those words in her ear, her heart froze in terror, realising the worst things he was capable of doing to her. He gripped her neck tightly, causing a tear to slip down from her eyes. He leaned closer to her face, causing their noses to rub against each other. "Then tonight I will really become one for you and will torment this innocence of yours, Kaya Haiden……."

"Sorry, Chloe. I really have an emergency!"
