A Chance Reunion

A Chance Reunion

"Frederick, how could you be so shameless? How could you expect my friend to treat you to a meal? Are you not ashamed?" "Pick the place, you two. It'll be on me," Frederick said. "That's more like it!" Finally satisfied, Megan linked arms with me and lowered her voice. "Fred is actually pretty loaded, and he hardly splurges. Have a good think about what you want to eat. Do not hold back!" Coincidence or not, the place we decided on in the end was located right next to the bar where Frederick and I first met. Neither Frederick nor myself were the chatty type. It was fortunate that Megan was there to ease the awkwardness by playing the life of the party.

The Luna's Last Rebirth

The Luna's Last Rebirth

I ask, and Monty laughs. “You didn’t do a lot of reading in your thousands of years, did you?” He asks smirking. When I don’t respond, he sighs heavily. “They are like a human romantic comedy movie waiting to happen. They clearly desire each other yet, here they are both so afraid to be the first one to make the move.” “Oh.” I grin. “I think one of them made the move. The other might be a little dense, though.” “No way. You think Chance is the dense one?” He scoffs. “The way he looks at her, she has to know. She would have to be blind.”

Not your typical were wolf drama where boy meets girl, and they fall madly in love. There is a couple, but the mystery to their story sucks you in and keeps you coming back for more. As always, well written and set at just the right pace to move the story along but keep you from being bored.

so far the story is fast paced. I am at chapter 33 and the book is moving fast with lots of imaginative twists; this book is far more than a love story to an angst female. The author is definitely in the top 3 of all time authors; not just GN paranormal authors, but favorite of all anytime all genre

Devil’s Saints: Taz

Devil’s Saints: Taz

Chance called out from near the bar doors. “This lovely lady is a direct descendant of people who performed human sacrifice. And she has a beautiful tattoo declaring that the world would be a much better place if more people drank the blood of their enemies from skulls. Their enemies recently removed skulls.” Toad called back. “If you would like to tick her off, Dom has the playroom downstairs.” “I like her.” Dom smiled and Chance cringed. “I like my skull where it is!” Chance replied. “Pity.” Nessie said and received a round of laughter.

Moon Blessed Mates

Moon Blessed Mates

Alpha Chance starts to ask me as he steps back from me and my heart begins to ache with the distance he is putting between us. Yes, I still cared about Damon and I had feelings for him but I wasn’t in love with him. I just wanted him to not get killed over what was caused by the Moon Witch. I wanted him to have a chance in life with his true mate. Choosing my words carefully I say, “I don’t have feelings for him the way you are insinuating. I care for him because I see the good in him and I want him to have the chance to find his true mate without the Moon Witch controlling him. But if it is between his life and Beta Shawn’s life I choose Beta Shawn over him any day, just as I would if it wa

Alpha's Wildcard: Lunar Strike Mayhem

Alpha's Wildcard: Lunar Strike Mayhem

Choice's words had my cheeks reddening despite the wide grin I was sporting. “Children are not on the table right now, but please come in, we have a lot to catch up on. Fred, this is Choice, the second brain behind this operation, and her husband, Carl,” I said and introduced them to Fred who gave them nods of acknowledgement as they bowed to him. “Choice, was it? I believe we will have a lot of things accomplished in the future. If both of you could pull off kidnapping the Alpha king and creating a mate bond, nothing is beyond your grip,” Choice stilled beside me and I rubbed her arm.

ECHOES OF THE PAST

ECHOES OF THE PAST

"We fought together, sacrificed together, faced threats that should have destroyed us. And when we finally had choice about our futures, we chose each other over cosmic obligation, peace over power, building ordinary life over extraordinary responsibility." Through the audience, I heard quiet sounds of people crying—Aunty Dora predictably, but others too. "I promise to keep choosing you," I concluded. "Every day, through whatever ordinary challenges replace the supernatural ones we've survived. From death to life, from hunting to love, from obligation to genuine freedom—I choose you completely." Damian's composure was visibly strained, his enhanced perception probably detecting my emotional

Redeeming My Alpha

Redeeming My Alpha

I nervously held onto Dana’s hand as I try to calm my restless heart. Nori stood there on stage silently, but his eyes never looked away from me. “Nori?” Drake’s dad called him out and his eyes closed. The moment that he opened them, his expression changed once again. “I wish to choose my Chosen Mate,” Nori said, but this time was not looking at me. “Finally!” Drake’s dad said excitedly, “And who is this lucky girl or boy?” Drake’s dad teases. “My Chosen Mate is no other than,” Nori pauses for a few seconds and then said the word that I never expected to hear from him, “Dana.”

Frequently Asked Questions

I think it’s the collision of environment and character that really builds the forbidden aspect. They’re both brilliant students in an institution that’s defined by ancient blood feuds, so the initial choice to even notice each other as individuals is radical. The Sorting Hat put them in rival houses; that’s a structural chance that sets the whole conflict. But then you have choices like Hermione refusing to back down in class, or Draco being chosen for a horrible task he didn’t ask for. The chance encounters in the library or the Room of Requirement become these stolen moments where the rules of their world don’t fully apply.

What’s fascinating is how often their choices are constrained by loyalty and survival, not free will. Draco choosing to lower his wand in the Manor—was that chance, a split-second choice, or the culmination of all those unspoken glances? Post-war, the chance to rebuild society gives them a new context, but the choice to engage, to forgive, to trust, is so fraught because of everything that came before. It’s not just ‘will they or won’t they’; it’s ‘can they even look at each other without seeing the war?’ That tension makes every small choice, like accepting a drink or returning a book, feel monumental.

The best fics play with this by putting them in situations where chance forces proximity, and then explores the choices they make within it. A mandatory Ministry project, getting stuck in a lift, being the only two people at a safe house. The chance event sets the stage, but the romance lives or dies by the deliberate, often painful, choices they make after. That’s why the ‘forbidden’ part never really fades, even in reunion stories; the social cost is a choice they have to keep making.
