Episode 13 Chloe pov continues… I was sweating while arranging the dusted books in the container given to us when I come across a book, I dusted the title off, it seems like a diary or some journal, and that reminds me it's been long I have opened up my journal, I opened it and the first page I read is "Rachel Gerard, do not open unless you are Rachel Gerard" I smiled and put it back not after doing a speed glance at the write up in it, I'm so inquisitive? Yeah!.

He wipes his face with a spare hanky. Why can’t he find it? He pulled out his phone from his pocket. He searches about it then. There had to be something. But what’s he gonna search. Mystery girl? Demon? There must be an ancient name for her. Or there isn’t. He was exhausted already. He ruffled his head, if he didn’t get anything, Dixon would end up killing him. He strolled down his phone. Ancient mystery girl. History search. He hunkered down. Since he was tired of standing.

Author’s POV: Next day all was going good, classes were going on inspector Isaac and John and others were working in their police station. All of a sudden, the electric lights began trembling. The occurrence kept happening for ten to fifteen seconds and then it was ok. Some people got frightened and all got curious. “This happened after eleven years, the same as before”, Isaac told in presence of John and another officer. They looked at each other. Students of a class started whispering. Seeing that the lecturer ordered to stop and again began to give his lecture. Lusie looked her left-right and it was ok few persons there steered each other.

She felt a connection to history as she did, and it made her feel alive. She also couldn’t help feeling, every time she picked up a book, that it held a riddle, some mystery to be solved—and that thrilled her. For some reason, she had always felt that there was a mystery lingering in her consciousness, something she needed to solve. She didn’t know what. It didn’t make sense, and that bothered her. When she worked on a rare book, at least she could solve clues she couldn’t put her fingers on in real life.

I admired some of the old classics and new books as my eyes wandered over every title. I had gathered a stack of books in my hand, picking ones I wanted to read and taking them out. So far, I had five books that I found would pique my interest such as Alice in Wonderland, Pride and Prejudice and the Maze Runner. All of these books were human and I admired the wide selection of books that this room had. I tried to find one that was all about werewolves like the library back at my pack had and only seemed to find one that was labelled 'As Old As Time Will Tell' written by none other than one of the eldest werewolf alive which was 'Herbert Vanderlin'. In the blurb, it states his life as an old

That’s what saved you from ending up like those other poor guys. I just grinned and tapped my nose. Sitting alone at the kitchen table, I popped open a pack of ramen and flicked on the TV. "Today, our city was rocked by a spree of break-ins and murders, all targeting rich single men. The cops cracked the case wide open, rounding up a whole gang of suspects.” As I listened to the news anchor's report, I could not help but think there was some truth to the saying that after the storm is when the flowers bloomed.

"Any favorites?" "There's this series about ancient pack wars that's surprisingly well-researched. And I have a weakness for detective novels, though don't tell Carson. He thinks they're a waste of time, but I once caught him reading one and he was too focused on it to even know I was standing in the same room as he was." "Your secret's safe with me, maybe he just doesnt want to admit how good it is." She grinned. "I love mysteries too. Have you read the Inspector Blackwood series?"

Then he left. "Thief!?" She whispered. She didn't understand what was going on? She asked the girl in the room about this. "Why did they said that I'm a thief." "I don't know. But, I heard that you stole the king's very important book." The girl replied. Chenyin became confused. Stole? The king's book? What is she talking about? Finally she realized about the secret book. Where is it? She remembered that brother Jiao Long put it in a safe place. Did the king found it.

I said to myself dragging myself from the bed to get him his god-damn chair. "Wow "I unconsciously said as I entered his room and slid open the door of his study. He's got great taste and from the view of his room and study, he's also classical. It looked pretty without being feminine. Light green walls created a cool beauty ,giant windows on two walls gave a glorious view of the outside beauty while allowing the moon and stars which flickered so beautifully to cast light and shadows to highlight the colours inside. Charles didn't seem the type of man to care about decor but the room reeked of elegant simplicity. I just can't help admiring it. It's just so elegant and well ......
