Aurelia I couldn’t move. The crawling sensation was everywhere, inside my bra, down my stomach, tangled in my hair. My skin prickled with revulsion, and my stomach churned from it all. Someone nearby laughed loudly. “Holy shit, did you get that on video?” I didn't bother to identify the speaker or check if they'd infact gotten everything or some of it on video. I forced my legs to work, stumbling toward the nearest door, brushing frantically at myself as I went.

I exclaimed and started to scratch it but it kept on crawling to my face. I scratched it with both of my hands. I could feel my skin grazed by my nails. I only groaned but didn’t stop. The black patch was covering my entire face. Another snow breeze blew. The fine hairs on my entire body rose. I stopped scratching seeing the black patches reached my shaking hands. I rubbed my skin but it won’t come off until my skin was completely covered with darkness. I stared at myself with shaking eyes.

I can hear the disgusting sounds of them moaning and groaning, frowning my face with aversion and regretting why I came out here in the first place. ‘What is that?’ Something is crawling inside my shirt! Impulsively, without even considering having a look to see what life-form it can be, I yelp, throwing my phone with a jump. Jumping on my feet, I run my hands over my body, bunching my shirt and exposing my skin. The light from my phone flashes brightly and blinds my vision as I throw my face away, not aware I’m backing away from my hiding spot.

I stifle the scream that wants to escape me. I can do it, just one more pull and I am free. I tug one more time and I have my leg free, but bloody. I can see the whites of my bone. So I was scrapping skin off it. I crawl out of the small space that’s starting to press in, biting my lip through the pain I feel all over my body.

Shit! Collapsing to my knees on the white oak herringbone-pattern floor, my throat went parched. I coughed when the dryness made me feel instantly dehydrated. I gasped, unable to breathe properly. I was trying to call my parents and it sounded like a wheeze. With my hands, I pulled at my throat like that was supposed to help. Giving up on that, I lay on the hardwood floor and crawled towards my bed. My skin had the sensation of melting, smoldering in a cave of fire, or like a live crab struggling to escape a pot of boiling water.

I grip at the male’s shoulder and hurl him into the wall. Something cracks, but before I can identify it, I’m falling. Time loses me. I’m unsure if that sentence is correct. I’m unsure of anything other than the fact that I might really be dying. I pull at my clothes; they feel like chains dipped in larva. When they won’t come off, I start with my skin next, clawing at it. Fingers are suddenly on my face, burning as hot as flames and I pry them off, snarling.

Now too, not just garlic, but a dreadful stink like something rotting down a sewer. A thousand tiny ice spiders crawled over her flesh. She cringed back against the wall as though, by some miracle, she could force herself through it. Something scurried over her foot and she flinched. Not a spider, heavier, like a rat.
