It tasted of desperation. When he finally pulled back, my lungs burned for air.
“Not here, Zake,” I gasped, my eyes darting to the tinted windows.
“Someone might see us.”
A dark, teasing smirk pulled at his mouth.
“Afraid, little bird?” He leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a gravelly, dangerous pitch.
