“Idiot! Dodge it!” Alex wanted to dodge it as well. However, he noticed that the palm made of eyes contained some kind of magical power that severely interfered with his mental domain. Each pair of eyes was an erosion of negative energy. “Mental domain! Activate!” Alex unleashed his mental domain. In an instant, the visions of his mental domain were drawn out—an expanse of immortal mountains, a large golden lake, falling stars, to resist the mental coercion formed by countless eyes that were staring at him. Even so, he realized that even if the mental vision had appeared, they were still unstoppable.

I had spent years drowning in it, learning how to filter through chaos that never stopped moving. So what the hell was happening? For one terrifying second, I wondered if my gift had simply disappeared. But the ballroom was still there, loud and alive in my head. Hundreds of thoughts layered over each other, messy and constant like they always were. It was only him who was missing. V A sharp pain passed my mind. I closed my eyes . The sensation remained for a moment then it was gone. A vision flashed behind my closed eyelids. The first page had a big title written in cursive font: Power of the Mind Jake quickly read through the first page and the writing seemed first hand-not printed, like someone had actually been writing on that book a very long time ago. Jake noticed the chapter was very detailed in giving aspects of the 'forces of the earth, air, water and fire' or as the writer termed them-'elements' and how the mind was activated to channel this forces through the eye. At first, Jake didn't get what the writer was talking about after he or she further added sketches of what appeared to be the Eye of Horus. Look at that, Mr. Henry was right all along!
