Forest Witchcraft Novels & Stories

“It’s nothing more than torture in the name of the gods. It was never sanctioned by the Rites. It is something that some perverse old men came up with. It degrades the actual ritual.” “But there is such a ritual?” he pressed. “There is. It is used for a wolf and a host to join in body and mind.” Emmeline clarified. “The false ritual would force the wolf to the surface to protect the host.” “What happens when the wolf does not surface?” Wyatt asked. “They may repeat the false ritual. Using the witches’ power of three, they may do it three times a day, every third month for up to three years.” “What happens when this doesn’t work?” he asked.

They weren’t going to let these witches leave here. “Ha, you are no match for me. Not now your fake Queen is mine to control.” Fiona cackles out, her eyes looking possessed as she starts to say words that I can not understand. As Flint, Fern and the remaining rebels witches join in on her spell, an eery wind picks up causing a fog to rise around their feet. Screams fill the field where the rebel wolves had been knocked out but were now gaining consciousness. They tossed around on the ground holding their ears and shouting….begging for it to stop. For what to stop?

Tristian stepped forward, his eyes fixed on the doctor. "Can we see the alpha now?" he asked, his voice laced with concern. Felix hesitated, his expression somber. "The alpha is very weak due to the type of witchcraft used on him. He won't wake up until tomorrow." The room fell silent, the weight of Felix's words settling in. “Witchcraft!” Kilo screamed in disbelief, there was no way he heard right but Felix nodding proved that he heard right. “We don't have any witches in the woodland pack and moreover why would anyone want to use witchcraft on the alpha?” Tristan asked.

She smiled, “It’s okay, we are welcome here. This is a witch sanctuary and only those the forest approves of can enter. If someone tried to follow us, they would run into a creature so fowl that they would get labelled insane and be sent away or get so turned around they would never be seen again.” “Why does the forest do that?” “We witches are children born of nature and are connected to it on a level that humans can’t understand. The forest created this space for us as a protected place where we can commune with its spirits and practice our craft without the prying eyes of suspicious humans and now witch hunters." She frowned then continued, " Their fear is unfounded, witches are taught to

We turn the corner and in the clearing up ahead I see Marigold, Jasper, Juniper, Rainy, and Antigone all sitting in the mud, small knives in their hands digging away at roots, stems, and berries, stashing them away in small canvas bags. “Wildcrafting Day?” I query, intrigued. At the sound of my voice, Juniper looks up and waves, her curls bouncing in her high ponytail. “We made a deal with the fae to have the last Sunday of the month to gather our spell materials from these woods since we don’t have any wooded territory of our own.” He elaborates. “The witches used to control all the woods from Dows Prairie to Kneeland, but when the Fae had to move their mound to the Arcata Community Forest

He said. “I thought witches didn’t have mates as us wolves do.” I stated matter-of-factly. “Just because we don’t find our mates at eighteen like you do and have some miraculous bond snap into place doesn’t mean that we don’t have soul mates. Many witches are serial monogamists who mate for life just like werewolves. The goddess leads us to them in mysterious ways” he said. “So, are you trying to tell me that Sierra is my mate?” I asked him almost laughing in his face

But time, for the first time in a long while, had learned to live again. *** Far away from there, beyond the boundaries of the visible, where human eyes cannot reach and forgotten names whisper among the roots of eternal trees, something broke. Or perhaps… something awakened. In the heart of the Black Forest, ancient witches dropped their rituals in trance. The stone circles trembled. The sacred waters shook as if vibrating beneath thunder that did not come from the sky. A priestess of Hecate fell to her knees, eyes rolled back: “The impossible lineage… has been born…”

Wanda called out loudly. All the witches hurriedly started preparing for the ritual. They draw a huge Pentagram in the middle of their town. They placed fresh heads of human sacrifices, which were arranged just for this purpose. Blood was splattered all around, making the pentagram shine blood red. Wanda arrived then, wearing a black robe. She walked into the center of the Pentagram. The other witches stood around the drawings, just outside the freshly severed heads. Wanda started chanting, and soon all the other witches followed suit as one. Different tones chanted the same spell in a chorus. As the intensity of the spells started to increase, the pentagram started to fill with a strange en

It almost breaks me, but Rowan’s hand is at my shoulder, Mara’s at my back, Fen’s steady at my side. When it’s done, Fyre slumps, empty but peaceful for the first time in years. “Thank you, daughter,” she whispers. “I hope you never need to give it back. But if you do—don’t be afraid.” I hold her, my body shaking with the force of what I’ve taken on. The pack stares in awe, some in fear. The air is lighter, the ground steady beneath us, the sky suddenly very, very blue. As twilight falls, I send out a silent call, magic pulsing through the forest. At midnight, the witches come—three, cloaked and sharp-eyed, their steps soundless on the leaf mold. The eldest, her hair silver, examines Fyre wi

Flickering candles lined the edges of the circle, their flames dancing in rhythm with the whispers of the wind. Seraphina stood at the altar, her hands hovering over the five amulets spread before her. Her eyes were closed in deep concentration, her lips moving in silent incantation. Behind her, her coven of witches moved in unison, each of them chanting in an ancient language, their voices blending into a haunting harmony that seemed to resonate with the power of the amulets.
