I let out a harsh sigh and looked at him again. “Now, if you’re asking me how I feel, my answer is no—I’m not fine. I feel… really empty. I don’t feel anything except this weight I carry. I’m fucking… empty, Melody. It’s scary…” I almost whispered to myself, then I left her there.

“This is… disgusting.” He hesitated only for a moment before crouching down anyway, his suit trousers brushing the damp grass. “Ma, I don’t think it’s disgusting. Not to me.” His tone softened, steady but concerned. “Is everything okay?” I closed my eyes for a second, willing the spinning to stop. “I don’t know… I’ve just been feeling dizzy lately. Sick, sometimes. Like I’m about to” I swallowed hard. “throw up. And it happens more often than it should.”

“Thoughts…” Today I wake up feeling weak. I have some feeling that something deep is about to go down. I don’t know what it is but I can feel it. Whatever it is, I hope it’s not Ronald getting into trouble. I am sick and tired of fighting for this relationship. I won’t be able to do it anymore. If he messes up this time, I’m going. For good. I’m sick of the person I have become because of Ronald.

There was this irritation that was growing inside of me, and I wanted it out immediately.

Emma I stare at the mess in front of me, not really sure what to do with it. I’ve been off these past few days and I haven’t been able to pinpoint the exact reason as to why I’ve been feeling this way. I’ve tried thinking about it, but nothing comes to mind. All I know is that I have been feeling off. Like something is wrong or something bad is about to happen. I can’t shake the feeling no matter what I do. It sits still, heavily weighing on my heart.
