The entire sentence came out in one breath. I blinked. Then I looked at how genuinely worried she was. How exhausted she looked. How hard she was trying. And somehow that made me feel worse. Not sad or heartbroken. Just... worse. I cocked an eyebrow at her. "Look, I know you expect me to feel sad and broken, but I don't." She opened her mouth. I continued before she could interrupt. "In fact, I don't feel any negative emotion whatsoever." That part sounded strange even to me.

“How do you feel?” “Uhm…” My head hurts, and I'm overwhelmed by all the sounds and lights. I had a really weird dream that’s making my heart hurt. I don't know why you’re looking at me like that. Like I… like I matter to you, and I don't know why that look is making my insides tingle. “I’m fine.”

My shoulders slumped as she completely disappeared from my sight. "Aishhhh!" I said annoyed. What is happening to me? I'm always irritated these past few days. I'm not like this before. Even though I felt like running out into the street. “I haven’t felt good lately,” I admitted to him. I turned my head towards the window as I spoke. I couldn’t bare to look him in the eyes. “Physically, I feel fine. Mentally… I feel awful. I feel sick. I can’t get up in the mornings.” My eyes went back to him. “I want to get up. And I can’t.” His hands covered mine. I was still holding on to the warm cup of tea, but his hands felt better. “Is this why you weren’t in class this morning? Have you been able to speak with anyone about how you’re feeling?

Xander's POV I can’t shake this mood. Today has been wrong from the moment I woke up, not in any single, obvious way, but like something is sitting under my skin and won’t settle. My emotions keep sliding out of alignment, rising and falling without warning. I feel like my skin is too small, like there’s too much feeling packed inside me with nowhere for it to go. I’m restless, keyed up, irritated by nothing and everything all at once. I don’t even know how to describe it properly. I just feel off.

[LIZZY] Since I woke up this morning, I’ve had this awful gut feeling. It’s hard to explain, but it’s like something really bad is about to go down. I even taste this weird bitterness in my mouth. Could just be a sign of an impending sickness, but I trust my body and instincts. I know something’s off.

I blush, feeling all over the place. “What are you talking about?” He furrows his eyebrows. “I don’t know” I sigh, knowing what’s making me feel like this. Always coming at the worst times. Well that explains the nausea and jumbled emotions all day. “Lovely”
