He walked towards it. "This isn't just a shrine, or a place to call the gods." Reyan said as Skye stopped outside the house and looked at the two ‘people’ sleeping. "This place is – " he said and took a deep breath as Skye touched the cheek of one of the two ‘people’ sleeping. " – the place where worlds meet." He said. Skye’s tears fell on Hierro's cheek. "Hierro..." he called, then looked at the one sleeping beside him.

She squinted her eyes. *gasp*... A person? Damn is that another? She asked as her eyes widened. She pointed at them in the sky. They were moving incredibly fast. She saw flashes of lights from the figures in the sky. A bright light was going from one towards the other while the other person dodged and raised a counter attack, sending a red beam of light. It was like watching a movie for Mia. Everything seemed so when she suddenly realized that they were fighting. Right above her head a fight was going on. She couldn't believe what she was seeing.

Not at all beautiful. ****** Entering the park, a slight breeze rustled the leaves making them fall to the solid ground one by one. It was a Sunday morning. The park was barren except for an elderly couple feeding the ducks and a couple of fellow joggers breathing in fresh morning air. Clara had worn a dark grey leggings and a white cropped hoddie that revealed the lower part of her sports bra. They had decided to meet at the nearest park that they both lived. To her surprise, Xane lived only a few miles away from her.

He held onto my hand and led me outside. It was bright outside, the sky completely clear of clouds. The air was cool but not cold. I looked around, the land here was beautiful. Trees on each side of the streets. Many houses that were kept and nice. A lot of farmland along with mountains on the far side of the pack territory. "What do you think?" Braden asked "Beautiful." I said softly.

It's like an image from a dream - something completely removed from the realities of life. All the better, I think, tilting my head back to look up at the sky. It still takes my breath away sometimes, the sky here. I never imagined you could see this many stars anywhere on earth. You certainly could never see this many in Kansas City. The sky here makes me feel so blessed - and at the same time so small and lonely I wonder why I was put on this earth at all. Nights like this, when the memory of my mom feels so fresh, I feel so lonely my whole body aches. Will that feeling ever fully go away?

He raised his hand, motioning to stop the conversation, and said, "Alright, as we've already made it clear, let's begin our official meeting for the upcoming battle." Meanwhile, inside a cozy log cabin situated on the upper hill of the area, Sky sat on the terrace, holding a cup of hot tea in her hand. Payne sat beside her, providing quiet companionship. The view overlooks the future town below, a very scenic view that makes Sky in awe. She took a glance at Payne, trying to say something to him. “What?” Asked Payne, while his eyes kept staring at the view. “Payne, aren’t you going to say something to me?” Asked Sky, being so honest about her feelings.

Comment your First time read -HIM- I look up at the heavenly sky as my feet rest on the mortal land. The crunch of snow underneath my feet accompanies the low whispers of the chilling wind. My breath comes out as a white cloud in front of my face. It’s one of the days when I wander around the earth. I don’t have anything to do in particular and nowhere to rush to. I am an immortal. Time doesn’t bother me much.

There were no more lies or betrayals around me, only loyal subordinates and like-minded friends. My phone chimed again. This time, it was a message from my best friend. "Caitlyn, want to go to the newly opened world-renowned restaurant tonight? I heard the head chef is super handsome!" I looked out the window at the azure sky. A silver-white airplane flew across the horizon, leaving a beautiful arc in its wake. I smiled and replied, "Let's go."

POV: Kael “Don’t breathe too deeply,” I said. “This place remembers lungs.” Lyra’s fingers tightened in mine, that was her answer. The Dead Lands did not announce themselves with fire or thunder. There was no dramatic threshold, no wall of flame. One step, and the world simply… stopped trying to live. The sky dulled into a colorless smear, like ash rubbed into bruised glass, the ground was cracked and pale, littered with fragments that might have been stone or might have been bone.
