The Butcher's Bride
Dante pulled back instantly, his face smoothing into a mask of indifference.
"Just checking the merchandise, Magnus," Dante called out. He winked at me—a sad, apologetic wink. "She's ready."
Magnus stepped into the room. He was dressed in a fresh white tuxedo, looking like a demon angel.
"Time to go," Magnus said.
I clutched the razor blade tight, feeling the edge bite into my skin. It was a grim gift. But it was a choice.
"I'm ready," I whispered.
