May I come in?” There were a few beats of silence. “It's your bedroom,” her weak voice sounded. I turned the knob and cautiously opened the door. The lights in the bedroom were off. Had it not been for the full moon, I might not have noticed her sitting on the floor with her knees pressed to her chest, staring at the night sky. I walked closer and sat a few feet away from her, leaning my back against the bed frame. She didn't turn to me, remaining motionless.

He murmured, his voice a seductive rumble that seemed to vibrate in my very core. I stayed awake for a long time, watching the moonlight slowly fade as the ship sailed closer to the city harbor. Everything was finally perfect, but it felt like there was still something missing from my life.
